I have a lot of videos of G on my phone.... And my phone is full despite recently uploading/deleting a gazillion pics. I have the shutterfly app for pics but it doesn't upload videos from the phone. I know I can hook up to my computer but that's a pita. Any recs?
This sounds really smart. I am technologically challenged. Can you tell me how to set this up?
I am also technologically challenged. I'm certain that if I figured out how to make this happen, you can, too. Although I admit that I do not remember the process. I think I just opened the Google+ app on my phone and it prompted me. (I had an android, so it came loaded with g+ and I didn't even have to download and install that). I'm sure I had to log in to my google account (already done for gmail app) and offered options like back up immediately or only on wifi or only when I tell it to. I chose whenever on wifi, since I have a really low data limit.
When I go to my google plus profile and look at my photos, there is an "auto backup" folder that creates albums (only visible to me) for each day. Then you can download to your computer if you want them there, too, or share via link or with friends in your circles on g+.
I do the auto-upload to G+, too, but that doesn't replace transfering to the computer and saving them. First, G+ can be glitchy and doesn't always upload. Second, quality is lowered (maybe you can change setting).

Yes, you can change the setting so it uploads at high res.
It also notifies you when items have backed up or if there has been an issue.
I was using dropbox but ran out of space and don't want to buy more. Flickr wasn't working for me for some reason... never uploaded new pics and took forever to d/l ones there already. I wish it did work!
Does Google+ have a space limit? If I have a gmail account, do I have access to G+?
