I told DD last night and filmed her hilarious reaction. After that she let it go....until this morning when she has brought tme multiple HK dolls asking why she has ____ if she's not a cat.
And Bunny - I hope my use of the simpsons imagery conveys that I'm not actually MAD nor do I wish violence upon you. I just...wanna strangle you a little.
Well, that's good. Then I'm sure you'll understand that my example of vending machine panties doesn't convey I think that's all Japan is(and was used in jest). There's so much more that would be considered odd. But also cool. It's very different.
One of my friends went to a robot restaurant in Japan. There were performers wearing these giant, transformer-like costumes, walking on a runway. The whole place was lit up like a club and the music was just crazy high-energy. I mean, completely insane! Also, completely awesome. I don't think there's anything wrong with saying that Japan is a weird place. It is a totally weird place. That doesn't make it bad, and it doesn't mean that the person pointing out the weirdness thinks it's bad. Some of my favorite people, places, and things are incredibly weird.
God bless, don't you people watch Dinosaur Train?! This is known by children everywhere.
I found Dinosaur Train on tv in Bangalore yesterday morning and got ridiculously excited about it. I sometimes watch it when Im back in the states; its way better than the other crap on tv during the afternoon
Because fuck it, it's Friday. I just dug out Doggie. Imagine a wee little harpy getting ANGRY over people calling him a bunny and tell me a 4-year-old won't be bothered by hearin HK isn't a cat.
And yes, his nose is missing.
I had a Doggie, too! Looking back at old photos, mine was most definitely a bear, just like my big sister tried to tell me at the time. I can't dig it out, because when I was very small I carried it with me EVERYWHERE. I took it to McDonalds when I was... I'm going to say 4, and left it. We went back to get it, and the McDonald's employee was all, "That ratty old thing? We thought it was trash. We threw it away." Don't adults know that the more ratty a stuffed animal is, the more treasured and adored it is?! It's the pristine looking ones that you can just go ahead and throw out!
