Wasn't the Ikea Expedit line discontinued?

I see one expedit item left on their website.

Wasn't an almost identical line supposed to have been released months ago,, around the time the discontinuation news was released?

I need a 4 cube bookcase for DS's room, and had planned on going to Ikea today.

It was discontinued. They were clearancing out pieces when we went to Ikea in March. I don't get it...I thought that was one of their most popular lines. It worked perfectly for DH's records.

The modifications they made reduce the wood used on the main outer frame but the inner dimensions are the same. It is better for the environment especially considering the quantity they sell.

I think they have them til they run out, so you might be able to find one still.  The new one is the Kallax.
