I will typically read a book, usually on my Kindle, or I will people watch outside.

I tend to prefer working out alone, so I can work at my own pace, and not feel judged, but I do love BODYPUMP and other group classes.


How about shopping, by yourself or with others?
For clothes, I try to always go with my sister, my mom, or my H because my sense of fashion sucks. Grocery shopping, my H and typically do it together. And any other kind of shopping, I prefer to do on my own, so I can wander, and not feel rushed. **cough*H*cough**

Do you ever go out to dinner by yourself?  yes and I have several times when I was single for 3.5 years.   I don't mind it.  I also treated myself to lunch alone and sat at the bar after one of my IV treatments earlier this year.  The bartender was very nice and conversational, maybe he felt sorry for me, haha.

Do you prefer working out by yourself, or with other people?  I always prefer working out alone, with my own control of the A/C and nobody watching.   But I did do rollerblading with my BFF for a while there (before she had a kid).  That was fun and a chance for us to catch up on a weekly basis while also getting in a good sweat.  I do kind of miss doing that with her, but we've talked about starting it up again at some point.

How about shopping, by yourself or with others?  I prefer to do this alone when it comes to clothes shopping and Christmas shopping.  Usually prefer the grocery shopping with the H because I like the help with the loading/unloading of all the bags since we rarely get out of a grocery store without spending less than $100.

I lived alone for over a year before moving in with the H, and absolutely LOVED it.   After having roommates before that, I quite enjoyed the peace and knowing that any mess in the place was my doing and could be left until I was ready to clean it without annoying anyone else.  Plus my sugar glider pet had free reign of the apartment and that was fun for her, after previously being confined to a single room or cage before that.    That was seriously part of the best years of my life and it gave me a big sense of independence knowing I could take care of myself.

How about shopping, by yourself or with others? I don't like clothes shopping with other people. I hate feeling like someone is waiting for me to decide/try on etc.. plus I HATE waiting for others.

I am one of those people that really does enjoy her alone time. I actually need it. It refocuses me and resets my "annoyance" gauge. As in, I don't get annoyed by people if I can just have some peace and quiet sometimes.

How about shopping, by yourself or with others? It depends I guess. If it's clothes shopping and I'm looking for something specific, I'd rather be alone. If it's just browsing and seeing what's new, I like to be with someone. If it's grocery shopping, I prefer to be with someone to distract me from how much I hate grocery shopping.

I hate going to the movies, so no, I haven't. But I feel like it has to be the least awkward place to go alone.

I haven't gone out to dinner by myself, but I've stopped and had a drink somewhere alone. I'm usually playing on my phone.

Working out - definitely by myself. Shopping - much prefer by myself. I hate waiting and having someone wait for me.

I've lived alone twice now and I love it. I can do whatever I want and there is no one to check in with or consider. I am not the type to ever get lonely, per se, so it definitely works for me. I can go out with my friends but then come home and enjoy my alone time. Perfect.

Depends on where I am, but more times than not I will take out my phone while waiting for food and put it away when I eat.

I go back and forth. I need H for accountability sometimes, but other times he grates on my nerves and I wish he had just slept in.

I prefer by myself for sure. It's nice to have others' opinions, but I feel like an inconvenience if they're just waiting on me. If I'm solo, I can take my time and go back and forth on my decisions. And I usually talk myself out of buying half the clothes I try on. (Which is a good thing)

How about shopping, by yourself or with others? Depends on what its for. If I'm shopping for myself I prefer to go alone. I like to be able to take my time looking at clothes/makeup and not have my DH's opinion about every little thing. He gives me plenty of feedback, which is sometimes good, and sometimes not so much. He tends to have a hard time seeing something until it is all put together/dressed up with the right outfit/accessories. And sometimes we just have different taste. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate his opinion, because he has great taste and things he picks out for me are generally very figure flattering, but sometimes he's just too strongly opinionated. In cases like those, I just want to be left alone to come to my own decision, b/c if I really like something, to hell with what he thinks. However, if I'm shopping for him, I'd rather he come with me. He's so incredibly picky, I'm always second guessing, its just easier this way.

I also like to be alone so I can speed through the grocery store/Costco. DH drives me bonkers with groceries/Costco. He must look at all the things... even things he's looked at a million times before. I just want to get in and out of that hell. ETA: I usually end up doing them with DH b/c he likes coming with me. So I suffer though the slowness, but appreciate the help carrying things

I really only ever go to movies when is something mister really wants to see, or we're going as a group. Mostly because I'm cheap, and don't really enjoy sitting through movies.

I routinely eat dinner alone, at the restaurants around my second job so that doesn't phase me at all.

I enjoy shopping with someone else on items like clothing, if I know I can get there honest opinion.

I also really enjoyed living alone though, I think I'm just an independent person. I do love sharing the place we moved into but oh man I love the nights I get to spend by myself.

Then I really enjoyed my food and people watched.  I think the server felt he had to be extra chatty, which annoyed me.

How about shopping, by yourself or with others? If I'm with others I just kinda browse.  If I'm alone I'll take the time to really look.  This is a more recent thing since I've gained a lot of weight in the last 5 years.
