So my family might be taking Julian for a week DH and I want to spend some time in Toronto on a bit of a babymoon hanging out before we become a family of 4. I have a lot of markets I love ere and I want to visit he art district.
i found a groupon for a cruise on the lake with lunch...or dinner whatever you like. They are 2-3 hrs. Do you think it's a bad idea for me to place myself on a boat at 36-37 weeks pregnant? Also would a helicopter ride be way too crazy?
My first thought is motion sickness. With my pregnancies I got so motion sick. Do you know if this is an issue for you?
No I'm good with boats and I have no issues with motion sickness. I wish I had looked earlier because there's a nice cottage getaway a few hrs out that I would have totally loved to visit...but it's too far from my hospital.
If it were me, I wouldn't go on a boat (or a helicopter!!) at 36/37 weeks. I went into labor at 37.5 though, so the thought of that makes me nervous. I mean, obviously, in an emergency they'd turn the boat around and take you back. But, still.

I keep thinking, well it's only Lake Ontario, and it's just a couple hrs...could it really happen like that?

CHARGE YOUR PHONE!! Ahh!! You and creamsiclechica are going to be the death of me.
In theory, I think a boat or helicopter would be fine. My bigger concern would be your comfort level, especially on a helicopter. A tiny cockpit doesn't seem like the most comfortable place to be when you're huge.

Why I still have 3 percent on this bad boy, I like to ride it out to the end.

muppetinma, I'm living on the edge over here at 13% again. (Kiss)
I say the boat could be okay, not the helicopter. Mostly because of comfort and swelling. Pregnant on a boat might be different because your equilibrium is different, so you might be more apt to motion sickness.

72%. A nice, safe amount. Andrew just locked me out of the house. Luckily, I was able to get in through the garage. But what would have happened if I couldn't? 3%?!? Seriously, makes me beyond panicky. You two are HORRIBLE PEOPLE!! (kiss)
Boat cruise no issue - the boats are larger and they just cruise around the harbour front of lake ontario - they are never very far from shore and there are tons of water taxis available.
