Our neighbor mowed his yard during nap time. It woke us up but wasn't terrible since the mower is a constant noise. We fell back asleep. Then he ran his gas powered leaf blower for 20+ minutes. Vroom, vroom, vrooooooooom & there was no way M was going back to sleep.
After a fun morning at the pool, DS and I hit up Costco to work on stocking the pantry for baby's arrival. Then we got "ta and joos" (pizza and lemonade) after.
He was being so pleasant and adorable, all of the olds at Costco kept coming up to talk to him/me. It was so strange, I'm used to people avoiding making eye contact with me because I have "that kid." The only problem is that he doesn't talk much still, and says almost nothing to strangers so they kept asking him questions and he'd just stare. One nosy old lady admonished him, "You should be able to hold up two fingers to tell me how old you are!" Shut up lady, we're here for the lemonade not the toddler shaming.
OMG. I hate people.
FWIW my kid doesn't shut up at home and still doesn't really respond to strangers. Totally normal.
It is a lovely crisp fall day here, which is welcome! Dh washed both cars and ds splashed around in the puddles for almost an hour. Then he and i walked to the playground, came home, had lunch and now he is napping. I even had a beer with lunch. Yay for pumpkin beer already!
Dh apologized twice for his snoring so I guess he is forgiven.

We are leaving DD with my in-laws tonight and going to dinner. My FIL is in town for the weekend (he works out of state). I'm a little concerned that he is smoking again as I don't want him holding the baby with cigarette smoke drenched clothes. I guess it is a cross that bridge when/if I get to it situation.

It's DH'S birthday. His family sucks. Not one of them has called or texted or anything. He got two birthday cards in the mail yesterday, from my mom and grandma, which was sweet. His family is always like this, it just always annoys me. This is why he doesn't care about birthdays, he never really had one.
But we had breakfast out and I'm making him dinner and French silk pie for dessert, so I think he's had a good day.
We are out of town staying with friends. Their DD is 14 mo old and takes two 2 hour naps a day. My husband and I are jealous. DD has been taking 30 minute naps since we got here. She's just got too many thing to do, like chewing up all of the other little girl's toys.

You guys... I had two crappy margaritas at On The Border. I told DH, "It tastes like college." I'm totally buzzed. Yes, DH is driving.
I'm going to NYC tomorrow kind of spontaneously. I have one cousin who lives there. My other cousin and my sister have planned a trip there for a long time. I wasn't sure how it would work out since we're in the process of moving. We'll, I decided to go tomorrow to spend the night. I'm going to take a train from Trenton and then the subway in NYC. I've never used mass transit of any kind in my life. I hope I can figure out WTF I'm doing tomorrow.
Back when I gave birth to ds1, the hospital cafeteria had this amazing mac n cheese. I've been waiting 2 years to have it again. I have not been disappointed and have ordered it with each meal. So delicious! I'm expecting my last lunch order in a few minutes and will savour each bite since I don't plan on coming back here anytime soon.
Hoping to get discharged in the next couple hours. We're just waiting on ds2's bilirubin levels.
This reminds me: shortstax! Get the peanut butter tart in the hospital. So good.
I seriously just put this as a note on my calendar haha, thx!
DS has been napping all afternoon and rather than do anything productive I. Have sat on the couch watched 19 kids and counting and been online... Feel kind of bad for wasting them time but on the other hand I am justifying that I need to relax too
