I finally caved and moved L out of my bed and the ARC into a different room in a PNP last night. I was nervous but he slept better than he has in weeks! Down at 7:45, up at 1:30, 3:30, 4:30, and up for the day st 6:45. I missed the snuggles but I feel better rested than I have in a long time.
I wasn't planning on buying/setting up a crib until we move in November but I might reconsider. I really wanted to keep him in my room for at least 6 months but this new arrangement may be better for us both.
I felt awful this morning though. I didn't hear or smell him poop but apparently he did at some point MOTN because when I changed his diaper this morning there was poop and his poor bum is all rashy. Oops! Sorry little dude!

DS got up at 4:30 wailing because he was hungry. I gave him milk then put him back in his crib and he's still sleeping at 7am. I'm up before him! This is miraculous because I can't tell you the last time he has slept past 6. We did a lot yesterday and I guess it exhausted him.

I believe DH is back painting the in-law suite. DS is awake but happily playing in his crib. Since it's been so crazy lately I'll let him have a little play time. He's reading a book and I can hear him saying Owl -Ho Ho! Too cute! When he's ready to get out, he'll call for me.
First day home with both boys and dh has his fantasy football draft thing this afternoon, of course. Oh well, my mom is coming to visit so we should manage well enough!
bananapancakes that was us too. As much as I would have loved to have AJ in our room longer, I realized pretty quickly that he slept far better in his own room.
J and AJ are both still asleep, so I'm parked on the couch in my jammies with some snacks watching HIMYM reruns. We're supposed to have my BFF's daughter's birthday party later but it's pouring outside so I'm not sure the pool part of the party at the pool is going to happen

I jacked up my toe yesterday and all the kids keep stepping on it plus in scared to go in the water because I think the current will rip the toenail off.
On the bright side, DD LOVES the ocean and would dive right in if we let her.
Well my kid may not talk a whole lot, but she's a genius I've decided. This morning DH was brushing the dog. E takes the other brush sitting by DH and starts brushing the dog. Then when there's some fur on the brush, she goes to the bag with the fur and shakes the brush in the bag to get the fur off!
Where do they learn this stuff?! She's also started wiping up after herself and if we say tissue she gets a tissue and tries to wipe her own nose!

T&Ps @marshmallows.
DS is having a tantrum day. He's sick and teething. He keeps begging for graham crackers, feeding then to the dog, then screaming that the dog ate them.
I have been issues with my hair. It's fine but I have quite a bit of it. My pp issues must be settling again finally because it's just a greasy mess and looks off. I read the other day to rub some oil between your palms, let it sit in your hair then shampoo out in the shower and skip conditioner.
I have some great looking hair this week!
I used a sample of Argan oil that came with my flat iron and never touched. The next day I did just a touch of coconut oil. Same results.
J is sick. This is the cold that won't get better. He had an ear infection, pink eye, was healthy for about 4 days, and back to sick. We are skipping church because of it. I'm currently giving him a bath so I can sit and drink coffee. Truly that was my main motivation. MOTY.
I always let my kids play in the bath as long as they want when they're sick. It really really helps. Esp. with a shake of baking soda in the water or those Vicks Vapor mist things if they have colds.
And mainly so I can just sit on the floor and do nothing but sick kids are exhausting for sure!
DH is off with the other groomsman practicing some dance the cousins want to do at the reception lol. Poor DH, totally NOT his idea of fun but it should be hilarious and I plan on recording it.
I just facetimed with my munchkins and am enjoying a coffee by the lake. Nothing to do except get ready for a 3:30 wedding. I have thoughts of running a mile or two but I'm thinking I'll just sit here and be lazy.
I have felt nauseated and had sharp stomach pains since Wednesday. I was hoping it was a bug, but I am beginning to worry that it is my new medicine. I sent my family to the farmers' market without me.
We've been at a friends beach house for the past few days, then were out past bedtime last night. DS is now snoring away on me. I should put him down in his crib to nap so I can shower but he's so peaceful and seems tired after the past few days.... So I think I'll keep snuggling.
We're visiting my inlaws. Mil went shopping yesterday and came home with a giant stack of baby clothes. 3/4 of them are things I would never buy. Witness the pink leopard print outfit that says 'I'm a princess.' I think she cleared out the clearance rack.
One baby spent a good chunk of the time from 4-6am screaming. Exhausted. I think we cemented sil's desire to be child free with that one.
Baby b suddenly learned to sit up! And baby a is making huge progress towards it. When did they get so big? We went to brunch yesterday with two people with younger babies. Is 6 month old twins too soon to want a 3rd??? Hahahahahaha.

Seems like FIL is smoking again. When we got to their house last night, he was out "running an errand". Dude, we can smell the cigarettes on you. You aren't hiding it by leaving the house to smoke.
I'm not sure if I should even say anything to DH about it. His dad is leaving tomorrow and won't be back until Christmas. The minimal contact DD will have with him isn't a huge concern is it? Ugh. I don't get why people smoke.
DD cracks me up with her words for things and how she says them. She calls herself "Button" or "Grrrbutton", her favorite tosy are the pug magnets on our fridge that depict a pug getting into trouble so she calls them Boo Boo magnets since she knows Boopers is our troubley pug. She calls her little backpack a "pack pack". She likes to delay nap/bedtime by saying "more stories? snuggle time? snuggle and a song time? more tickles?" And she likes to put a diaper on her stuffed pug and says "lay down Fluppy!" (fluffy)

After that Starbucks thread from earlier this week, DH and I decided to stop and get a Nutella latte (for him) and a raspberry white mocha (for me) on our way to church. Omg so good! Why have I let myself be constrained by the official menu for this long?! Now I'm browsing all the "secret menu" items online for future ideas.
As guilty as I feel that J doesn't usually go to bed until 10 or 11, it's pretty freaking awesome that he's still sleeping at 11 am. I love it on my days off work. I seem to be raising a college kid.
Getting his own room must have been what he needed for better sleep. He's now going 8-10 hours before waking to eat and then sleeping for 2-3 more hours. Amazing
DD thinks that nipples are belly buttons. We were at my friend's house this week for dinner and my friend began nursing her 2-month-old at the table. DD was very curious and I told her baby was having some baby milk. DD exclaimed "BABY __ EATING THE BELLY BUTTON!" She then proceeded to tell everyone we saw after that for the next three days.

Do we have the same MIL??? That is something she would buy my daughter too.
Oh, and I totally thought I could have another kid when my twins were 6 months old. Now I say there is no f'ing way. Don't let the calm before mobility lull you into insanity.

It drives me crazy! We also received expensive cheerleader outfits for the local football team... I guess I kind of knew that was inevitable, but totally not my style.
And thanks for the reality check on #3. Of course I know the storm is coming but if I think about it too much I might run away and leave my family.
