My butt is going to fuse to the couch if I don't move soon. I have been lying on the couch since 2 pm. It is now 8. I have only moved to pee, snack and feed the dogs. My house is a disaster, except for the lawn and H's bathroom, which he took care of today.
I want my energy back!! (I've never been very energetic, but this is ridiculous.)
H is trying to lure me off the couch by suggesting we go to Chipotle. I am trying to muster the willpower to sit up.
We are getting a new Big Boss (not my direct boss, but two levels higher) this week and my desk is just two away from his. I have 36 hours to get my energy back so I can make a decent impression.

I'm just about 15 weeks and I'm still pretty tired, but it's a lot better. I can actually do things now, although I still want naps and end up pretty tired after work. Don't feel too bad about being "lazy" right now! It sucks but you have a good excuse!
I am posting one more time because way too often, I say I want things, and then I end up getting them in bad ways. So I am going to just say out loud right here that I am very happy to have my energy gone for the next several weeks if it means I am still pregnant and healthy. But being pregnant and healthy AND energetic would be great, if possible.
I was absolutely exhausted in 1st Tri...I would get 9 hours of sleep at night, go to work for 8 1/2 hours, then be sooo tired on the way home that I would sit in the recliner waiting for H to get home from work and fall asleep within 5 minutes.
By the time H would finally get home I would sound asleep in the recliner and I could barely open my eyes I was so tired, lol
Thankfully I got some energy back in 2nd Tri, but now that I'm in 3rd Tri I am feeling more tired again...Thankfully not as tired as 1st Tri though :-)
I'm 13.5 weeks now and feel a little more energetic now. My main problem is this baby has sucked out what little tolerance I had for heat and the weather decided it was finally going to be summer after months of beautiful 80 degree days.
I have 4 days left of "summer break" and had all these "plans" of getting the house together since I'll be working up to my due date. So far I've done 1 load of laundry that is still in the dryer. The thought of going up and down any stairs is just to much. I feel like the laziest person alive right now! Also, having the FXX 12-day Every Simpson Ever marathon on TV is not helping the motivation.
I cant stay awake during the day, yet here it is 3:20 am and I'm wide awake. Maybe I should get some work done now!

I'm constantly nauseated and exhausted. They keep saying it gets better in second tri. I'd be fine with a little more energy, but I'm okay with nausea until, say, this bean can kick.
krystee don't feel bad about complaining sometimes! I'm very thankful to be pregnant and that I didn't need any medical help, but that doesn't mean it doesn't suck sometimes!
Well you kinda get energy back towards the end of 2nd tri. But by mid third tri you can only move for so long. I have energy for like the first 2 hours of the day then you hurt everywhere and only want to rest.

Don't worry, you'll get it back in about 18 years. :-)
In all seriousness, the first trimester just sucks. I could hardly stay awake for 8 hours straight at work. Your body is working so hard. You may as well be running a marathon, your body is working that hard. The second trimester is better, though I'm not going to lie, you'll still be exhausted, just not so much as you are now. Your house doesn't need to get cleaned. That isn't your job right now. Your job right now is making a baby, and that's plenty.

Don't worry, it will come back at some point! There will be good days and bad days. I noticed a definite shift once I hit 2nd tri. But some days still require a nap!
I am lying on the bed with the fan on while DH is in the kitchen cooking supper and washing dishes. The kicker is he cycled to work, worked 9 to 6, cycled home, did laundry and is now busy in the kitchen. Me, I got up chatted to my mom and then MIL, had a bath, went to the hospital for monitoring, did some shopping, came home, gave DS lunch and lounged around for the rest of the day. I even left all the non-cold stuff in the trunk of the car for DH to bring in. And yet, I am exhausted and praying for some one to invent panties that are made of ice pack a because my crotch feels like it is being cut in half.
It will pass, truly - some days, I'd feel so tired at work all I wanted to do was put my head down on my desk and take a nap. I'd go straight home, lay on the couch and be half asleep by 10 PM.
I started feeling better around 15 weeks, and I'm now 19 weeks and have a ton of energy. It does improve, promise. Just hang in there!
It's been a good day today! Two loads of laundry done, hung out with friends, hung out with family, paid some bills, baked brownies, bought groceries...I feel like Wonder Woman compared to yesterday!
My plan for the rest of the night is relaxing with super trashy TV--the Saved By the Bell movie and the Kardashian wedding!
