Long story short - repair person at my house accidentally broke a few pieces of my crystal stemware when moving my china cabinet. He took pics, they want to give us $ and just asked that we send them an estimate for replacement pieces.
Problem is... we have no idea manufacturer/design name anymore and I just spent 2 hours of my life searching Replacements.com, Ebay, and Google image in search to no avail. I think we would recognize the manufacturer name but nothing is familiar at Dillards (where we registered). Of course we didn't keep original boxes.
So... what would you do? Just find something similar? Keep hunting?
(we've been married 12 years so our registry is long gone and we were pre-wedding blog and pinterest trend. though either sure would be helpful right now...)
Can you take one to Dillard's and see if anyone can match it or recognize it? I'd suggest midday, midweek when the old ladies who have been working the registry section for 30 years are working.

This is what I would do. Also, you may want to check Macy's or Nordstrom's or Bloomingdale's too. If it was a more main stream line of crystal, it is likely that it was carried at more than one major dept. store.
And I take it that there are no maker's marks anywhere on any of the pieces that could help you narrow if down?
How long ago were you married? Did you see if maybe your registry is still there if you log in ? My Bloomingdales registry is still there 6 years later if I log in.

I third or fourth or fifth the idea to email a photo of any complete (or nearly complete) glasses to Replacements. Even if they don't have the pattern, they can try to find it for you, and at the very least, you'll know it's brand and name.
FWIW, my crystal was discontinued only 2-3 years after I got married in 2005, and it was a relatively new pattern. The Replacements supply of my pattern is VERY limited--in fact I've bought up all the high ball glasses they had and granted, I haven't asked them to actively search for them, but they also haven't gotten anymore since I bought out their stash a year a or two ago.
