Do you like this?
We just started on Hulu plus last night. I HATE it. We watched the split personality rape the frat boys in the butt one. Then we gave it just one more try with the OCD guy who killed the blind kid's mom.
I'm all for some SVU, but this show is too damned much.
Anybody love it? Do we just need to give it another try?
Bonus a little review of Shamar - HOT, but cannot act at all. And MGG needs a hairbrush.
The main guy quit because of this. It is dark and can be very disturbing. I love the profiling and the characters, but I would never watch them in bulk. There are some episodes I just don't watch and some I regret watching. So yeah, I do love it, but in moderation and not at night at home by myself.

I like Criminal Minds, but it is right up my alley. I love suspenseful, sometimes dark shows. I love books like that too. I enjoy being creeped out. I will say, as the seasons go on, it does get kind of same old, same old. Most episodes are stand-alone episodes, like a CSI, though they do have some interesting story lines at times with the main characters. I still watch it.
I am also excited for the new show that will be on after CM this year called Stalker.
We watched the first season and didn't think it was too bad. Then it really started to just be about killing women/girls for the most part and kept getting grosser. The beginning episodes were more about the profiling IMO then it devolved and we stopped watching.

I honestly love Criminal Minds, but i don't think its for everyone. There are definitely episodes/seasons that are darker than others. They frequently consult with profilers(retired and active) as a lot of the unsubs are developed based on true serial killers. I'd recommend starting from season one, rather than whatever is currently playing. Ion is having a marathon today but I'm not sure what season they started with.
The book, Mindhunter by John Douglas was an interesting read. ( he's a retired profiler)
I love it. I'm binge watching it right now on Netflix. SO can handle it but after an episode or two, he starts getting annoyed that I want to keep watching it. It is very dark but I'm a weirdo who likes that kind of stuff. It's not for everyone and I think most people either love it or hate it.
There is one ep I watched years ago and still think about any time I have road rage. It's about some random guy that starts shooting other people in vehicles that are driving like assholess.
I've never watched a complete episode. Shemar Moore is hot but I can't tolerate extremely unrealistic shows like that. It is in the same category as Greys Anatomy
I like it OK, but it's something that I really only watch in re-runs when nothing else is on, especially since my H hates the show.
I think the acting is bad because the writing is terrible. When they go off explaining something for the benefit of the audience it's done so poorly, like um, duh, why are you explaining this theory of profiling to your fellow profiler who you've been working with for the past decade. If I had a co-worker like that I wouldn't want to be friends with them, I'd want to punch them in the face for being a weirdo know-it-all. But they don't limit it to just one character doing it, they all do it.

I love it, but I'm very into psychology and serial/spree/mass killers and things of the such. I find it interesting that they base a lot of UNSUBs on actual murderers, and think it's fun to try to guess them. It is really dark, but I don't mind. The majority of what I watch and read is less-than-cheery stuff. The subject matter, and the fact that it can be so gory and twisted, makes it a show that isn't for everyone.
