I'm currently doing Stage 7 of NROLW. I skipped 6 and will probably go back to it after 7 (and maybe after my marathon).
I really liked this program and I'm thinking that I want to do one of the other books. Any recs for which one you like best? Stage 7 was my favorite - I like the fast pace, short rests. I also like the more high power moves, like snatches and push press. I don't really have a local bookstore, so I can't go flip through - I'd be buying on Amazon for my Kindle.
I have all of them, and now I just pick and choose from the whole collection. I like "New Rules... For Life" because it deals with injuries and modifications. I like "...for Abs," because I really appreciate the idea that the core can be worked in multiple ways.

I was leaning toward "for Life" ...do you think it's a good complement to running?
I just started the Abs book and like it. I tried supercharged, but some of the exercises were too complicated for the limited time I have for strength training.

That's my concern about Supercharged. I'm not very good at choosing - I just want to be told what to do lol

What kind of exercises are in Abs?
You start out with a 10 min warm up that includes lunges, squats, etc then you move on to the exercises that are in the same format as NROLFW. I don't remember all the exercises, but some of them are ... planks, elevated planks, squats, shoulder press.

DEFINITELY. It really teaches you how to build workouts that suit all of your needs (life, exercise, injury, time, etc).

I started with NROLW and moved to NROL for Abs, which I thought was far, far better than NROLW. It's not really an ab workout only, but rather a full body lifting program focused on strengthening your core. I had HUGE improvements in core strength, which helped with my overall lifting. I also like the fast pace workouts and new moves.
My real favorite though is NROL Supercharged. This program really taught me how to create lifting routines on my own to get the most out of my workouts. I could incorporate my favorite things from NROLA and NROLW, but tailor the program to whatever other fitness activities I had going on. It took me a bit to learn how to create the workouts, but since I had done NROLA first, the format was very similar.
