I've lurked since before the Exodus, and I know to respect my elders.
(I grew up old school fundamentalist...sometimes I indulge in odd word choices.)
Yeah, this is weird. You need to shake that!
But I DO respect you...just know that...'k?
(I have so much awkwardness that I'm trying to shake...I've had a stressful day and just kind of blew up all of the message board this afternoon. I'm not normally so loud.)
Are the WF near most of you small like Trader Joes? The only ones I've been in are enormous, about the size of my regular Wegmans, but they've all been in large cities, so maybe that's the difference.
Let me clarify - the size of our WF is smaller both in size and in number of products.
I should also go on record and state that I don't like too much choice in anything - I get overwhelmed in department stores, etc.
It does take forever to scan the ingredient list for allergens. Do your research online, fields and then go in and grab the stuff that's safe for you and the kids. It's much quicker that way and less overwhelming.

It's like amazon, but without the reviews to help guide your choices. They need a star rating system in grocery stores.
I get angry when we go to the Target where the health and beauty items are immediately next to the entrance. I need to be welcomed to the store by dollar spot bins BEFORE we proceed to the Sally Hansen nailpolish.
I feel overwhelmed by stores with a lot of choices too. I shop at Sprouts and a small local store. The WF near me is huge and I find it and "regular" stores overwhelming.

A Sprouts Farmers Market just opened near me! I haven't had a chance to get to it yet (because it's still easier to haunt my familiar Kroger, lol). Do you like Sprouts? Is it comparable price-wise to other..."normal" (lol) stores?

I find their produce prices to be generally the lowest. They don't have a huge selection of packaged foods, and none of the big brand names(Kellogg's, Lays, etc.) They also have stuff in bulk bins which I generally find have good prices.

Sometimes I get confused about which Target I am in. I'll look for an item where it should be in a store with layout A when I'm in a store with layout B.
Also my new grocery store is redoing the interior. I just figured out where everything is in the store and now they are changing it on me. Ugh!

I love Sprouts! Their produce is really cheap and it's good quality. Their meat is also really good and while not cheap, definitely comparable to Kroger's prices- but wayyy better. Their processed items are really high. Like, almond milk is usually $1 more than at Kroger. I don't buy non-meat/produce items unless they are on sale.
I also really love their bins. David can pick out a few snacks and I can buy rice or quinoa in small quantities.

Well...this is why I'll be sticking to WF - I know exactly what he can/can't have
My nearest Whole Foods has two stories and its own street with a traffic light.
The new Target that opened in my area has one of those escalators just for carts.
Soooo.... yeah.
Eh - I dunno. My problem is amount of choice per segment, not the size of the store per se (although as I mentioned, I don't do well in Dept stores both because of size and choice).
I have no problem in Target, I think in due part because although they have a lot of stuff, it's not a huge amount of choice by category, i.e. A small shelf section with pasta versus the length of an aisle .

We love it. Produce and meat are good plus they have all the random things I need for my allergies. Prices are comparable or cheaper I think.
