I don't know if he snuck caffeine when we weren't looking but Andy won't go to bed. He slept for 20 minutes before getting up and laughing manically at us from the top of the stairs. He isn't just awake though, he is like bizarrely wired. And hitting. And climbing. And laughing at us while we stare at him. He has been doing this for 2 hours after his bedtime.
I made h bring down the crib from the attic and put it together so we could at least pen him in.
Yeah, that's ironically what they act like when they are over tired. There should be a screaming fit soon and then he will just fall over. Sometimes you get lucky and they just fall over.
DS1 went through that phase at about 2 1/2. It was like he was possessed! He could get out of a crib, so I just cleared his room of EVERYTHING except his bed, his dresser, a pillow & blanket and prayed for patience and for the phase to end quickly. It was...not fun. Easily my lowest points in parenting.
I will trade you a teething 10 month old. He goes to sleep just fine. You are okay with getting woken in the middle of the night to screaming right?
Ahh kids they are lucky they are so cute.
He "slept" like that until 14 months. Woke every 2 hours. I'm sitting here trying to remind myself of that and convincing myself it could be worse.
Guys is there any chance it's amoxicillin? He has been on it all weekend for an ear infection and he has been a little shit all weekend.
It is funny DH said to me tonight that he is excited to go back to work tomorrow the weekend was too long. I know my little guy is acting up because of the teeth but we have also had a jam packed weekend. I think he might just be a little worn out/off his routine because he has been difficult yesterday and today for sure. Any chance it is something like that?
Whatever is wrong I hope Andy goes to bed soon. It is after nights like that I just lay in bed and stare at the tv like a zombie.
I'll trade you an evil 1.5 yr old. He sleeps! But he's a jerk when he's awake, lol. I posted on MMM today about how I should start a reward chart for myself for every day I don't lose my shit. Hope he crashes soon!
seriously!! Sunday night we went to target and when we got home I handed her over to H bc I could NOT take it. She was being such a little jerk. And she has started hitting! Like slapping me in the face. While smiling.

Yes, that is awful! He laughs when he hits/kicks us. EVIL

I don't know what to do it how to discipline her! I've been grabbing her hand and sternly saying no we don't hit. And then staring her down until she stops smiling.

I do the same thing, hold his hand or arm down and say firmly "Andy No hitting." and then change the subject, distract, divert his attention. He will keep laughing and doing it again as long as it gets a rise out of me, so better to just change the station.
