Spicy shrimp, red and black package. No idea on brand bc it's not in English (buy it at Wegmans). I usually add peas and chopped green onion. The egg sounds delicious. I will try.
I like the chicken flavor. I don't add anything. Just a portion of the flavor packet and I drain most of the water.
When we walked past the ramen at the store yesterday, I was just reminiscing about making it at 2 AM in college while up late doing homework. I miss that.
@weeble what is this yogurt ramen noodle salad you're talking about?
It's not yogurt ramen salad- yuck! I just meant I ate the salad and some yogurt along with it. It's just ramen noodle coleslaw. Some noodles, some shredded cabbage, sunflower seeds and a sugar/ olive oil/ vinegar dressing.

I am a ramen purist. Boil exactly two cups of water, add noodles, cook for 3 minutes exactly, turn off heat, add seasoning. Eat. That is all. Do not microwave, do not drain water, do not cut down on seasoning. Anything else is tragic.
If I want fancy ramen with vegetables and shit I will go to a restaurant. At home I just want a quick, easy, comforting meal. It involves nothing outside of water, heat, noodles, and the flavor packet.

Shin Ramyun, with 2 eggs poached in the liquid as the noodles cook. And now I'm laughing at myself because I have a few in my post history about this. Have you heard the good news? It's Korean-brand ramen!

This is me! Except, I learned from someone herE on GBCN to add the juice of half a lemon. PERFECTION!
Creamy chicken, break noodles in package, microwave in mug with water, drain most water, add about 1/2 pack of seasoning. Best with a super cold can of diet coke. (Can is important, no glass or bottles for this fancy meal!)
This exact fancy meal used to be my go-to hangover cure. I'd add 1 ice cube if the water was too hot so I could induldge right away.
I've been converted to Sun Ramen by Blue Apron. In fact we're remaking this recipe tonight and I've been thinking about it all weekend (and had to go to 4 different stores to get all the ingredients because the shelves were BARE everywhere): www.blueapron.com/recipes/chicken-tsukune-spring-ramen . Only one store in all of Utah carries this brand but it is so good!
Growing up, my mom made pork flavored Maruchan ramen with egg - egg drop soup style.
Shin Ramyun brand. Poach 1-2 eggs in the hot broth. Throw in some thinly sliced green onions/scallions at the end and 1/2- 1 slice of Kraft sliced cheese. Stir the cheese gently until melted. I know the cheese part sounds disgusting, but TRUST ME, it's good. The cheese adds a more rich flavor to the broth. Try it!
If I have some kimchi around, I will add that too. Well, I'll fry the kimchi in butter first. OMG. Amazing.
I feel like we've talked about the Kraft cheese thing before. It's a legit thing in Korea, right?
Spicy something? It's a green package. Cook in water that already has seasoning packet in it, drain until only a 1/3 c or so left, add a big spoonful of peanut butter, some siracha, lime juice, frozen peas, drained chicken, and sesame oil. It's my shameful treat. If I feel fancy, I'll toss some sliced scallions on top. I believe I will have this for lunch tomorrow...
This sounds so good! I love peanut noodles, but I never thought to add peanut butter to ramen...OMG what have I been missing?!
For those of you who add eggs, how do you add the eggs to the ramen? Do you boil them with the noodles and then peel/add them to the bowl? Or do you crack them straight into the boiling noodles to make a poached type egg?
I want to add eggs to my ramen...I need to know how!
I beat the egg and add it to the finished noodles and broth, like egg drop soup. It's my go to when I'm sick or just want fast comfort food.
