I am probably one of the only people out there who loved the front of the dress, lol. I think the drawings from the kids are sweet but putting them on the back fo the dress on top of the veil is just a bit much. Whatever, the wedding was basically for the kids.
I actually really like the shape of the dress. The shininess of the fabric... Not so much. The kids drawings are cute, but I would've kept them to the veil if it were me.
The treatment of her breasts and bodice are very striking and old Hollywood/Elizabeth Taylor-esque. I really like the front.
No opinion on the back/drawings. Nms
But, it doesn't look anything like that dress in the Liz Taylor pic. If that was the look Angie was going for, the execution was way off. I completely agree with the poster who said it looked like something Gywneth Paltrow would have worn circa Shakespeare in Love. I was expecting way more from her, nothing about that dress (taking away the artwork) screams Haute Couture.

It's the proportion, not the style.
We will have to agree to disagree, because I don't think its the same proportion either Liz Taylor's Dress was bigger up top with the broader (and more interesting) neckline and layering material across the bust, then narrows into the bodice/waist, then poofs out a bit. Angie's is just all narrow up top (neckline is blah, straps are too thin, etc) and is straight with the bodice, and then poofs out. To me, that's part of what is killing the dress is the very top. I just feel that it needs something more interesting going on from the bust up.

Eh, she wears couture all the time so I'm guessing that wasn't the priority for her with her wedding dress. That's why I love this sentimental route. Plus I really like the dress on her.
I really dislike the style of the dress, and it has nothing to do with the kids drawings. I feel like it's too traditional for her, or something. The skirt is too full and satiny, and I'm not digging the top.
I wasn't wowed by it, but it's not offensive or tacky.
The idea behind the veil embroidery is nice, but it's definitely NMS.
Flameful: I think it was a bit much for a third-time bride.
I was gonna say maybe this being her third wedding is why she didn't care about doodles on her dress.

Makes sense, especially if the whole point of the wedding was mainly to please the kids.
I was the 10 year-old who strongly objected to my mom's demands that my siblings and I draw pictures and messages on a photo frame gift for my dad, because kids' drawings would make it look "weird." I can appreciate the sentiment but the drawings on the dress are definitely NMS, no matter who's wearing it or how many times she's been married before.

Who cares if it's her third wedding. Do her kids know the etiquette, and that a second time or more bride "should" be demure and not grandstand. The kids wanted them to get married, and they were accommodating them. The wedding was very small and family focused. I thought it was nice, third wedding or not.
Also, while she did have reconstructive surgery after her double mastectomy, I'm a little surprised at all of the focus on her breasts, bra or no bra. Really?
I think the dress is simple and classic, but on the other hand, the scoop neck with spaghetti straps seems very late-90s to me. Could be a lot worse, though. I think she went simple to highlight the artwork on the back. I like the drape of the skirt. But I think she could have worn something a little more... impressive, I suppose. Not what I pictured her in, but it's not my wedding.

Well, I don't think her first 2 were very traditional weddings, really. And she's definitely been in this relationship a hell of a lot longer than her last 2 marriages already... Seems very different, at least from the outside. So what I'm saying is that THIS relationship is special in its own way. I don't know, I've never had a second (or third) wedding, but I imagine that if you marry multiple times, each one is a special occasion because it's a different circumstance and a different person.
Oh, sorry. Didn't realize we all had to fawn over it.
that is not what I meant. See my own reply.
What I meant was (in a tic way) why do you care what her dress looks like if you know next to nothing about her. I mean- their brood has been the but of jokes for years so clearly you don't follow her.
It would be like me making a comment about nascar even though I've never watched a race.

Really? This is a message board thread about a dress. I truly could not care less about Angie, Brad or the kids. Some people don't like the dress, period. I don't see what difference it makes that "but OMG, they're all so happy and in love!! and such a great family!! and OMG the kids!!" Happy/in love and ugly dress are not mutually exclusive, lol. I'm sure that couple someone recently posted with a camo-themed wedding was also very in love, but no one had a problem ribbing on their outfits.
Lovely idea, poor execution. She should have given the kid's drawings to a designer to incorporate in a stylish way. It reminds me of one of those ransom notes made of magazine clippings.
But it makes sense b/c I think they married for the kids.
I would really like the dress if it was another fabric. Not a fan of the veil, but I'm sure the kids loved it and that seems like the reason for season. I don't even really get why they chose to have the pictures publicized? Maybe to donate the money to charity? I don't know, I don't keep up with them (and yes, I still have many opinions lol).
I don't know in this case, but I know in the past celebs do this to raise money for charity and I think also having an exclusivity agreement with a particular publication gets them some recourse if unofficial photos get out there, so it discourages the aggressive paparrazzi. Something like that.

I heard on the radio that they sold the pictures for $2 million and donated the money to their own foundation
