We used a fleece blanket over the car seat. I put it over the canopy but under the handle, that way it was still easy to carry.

I also went with blankets. But DS was born at the end of February and by the time I was going out with him a lot it was warmer.
I did see a ton of these car seat covers at Once Upon a Child though.

I used the JJ Cole cover and really liked it. DD was born in January and we used it for a few months so I could go out and walk. Didn't use it as much for car rides.

I've had various shower-cap styles and they're all about the same. Get one used if you want to save some money (OUAC will have a bunch).

Just don't get the BundleMe ones with a layer of fleece between the baby and the actual seat.

There's some kind of "weather pouch" on baby steals today. Rosk $37.99. Says it can be used on car seats.

This is what we used, too. I found a free product code online and paid $12 for shipping.
Thats what I plan to use and got it when they had free plus shipping.
