Did you guys decide where you're going next summer? Not sure if you're still interested in japan. We just got back and I totally think the Four Seasons is calling you from afar. :::::Coooooome to me frlcb and let me spoil your children with toys and juice:::::
Oooh, we haven't decided but that is definitely still in the running! So it was amazing?
The weather was not amazing and if I mentally block that out along with all the times my kids complained about dumb things, then yes it was amazing. We took it easy in the mornings, which was nice but then we lost that sightseeing time and I felt rushed. I needed one more day to see everything I had planned. But it was still great. There is so much for kids and adults. I think you'd love it, esp since I assume you'll add other cities in japan. I wish we had time to do that!
The Four Seasons gave my kids toothbrushes, toys, and bath toys. And they had kiddie house shoes and bath robes that matched the adult ones. AND because it was my kids' bdays they brought up cake to the room with a card signed by the staff and gave my kids teddy bears as gifts. I have kiddie comment cards for them to fill out and mail back. So cute. They also installed bed rails on my kids bed and put a step stool in the bathroom. The service was outstanding. The best part though is that the subway line that goes from tokyo station to Disney is right under the hotel. It takes 15-20 min. It's also in the perfect location to see the major sites in tokyo. The biggest negative is the cost of breakfast there. I could only do it once and then I had to move on to "cheap" $8 pancakes nearby.
The Four Seasons sounds amazing, I will have to keep an eye on deals. If we don't do it this Summer (2015) we are looking at the one after. We just booked a Christmas trip to Prague and the UK so that may push us back a year. Did you find it easy to get around with the kids?

Christmas in Prague will be fabulous.
Yes it was very easy to get around. I had a cheap, crappy double stroller and had no issues except some stairs here and there. No biggie. It would be more stressful if it was just you and the kids because of the crowds and how confusing the trains can be. And there was sometimes a huge gap between the subway car and the platform - so big a child could fall into it. But with 2 parents it'll be just fine. Much easier than many European cities I've been in. Oh and I'm not sure if you would go to Disney, and if you'd want a stroller there. If so I'd recommend bringing your own or asking the hotel what kind they rent out because Tokyo Disney's strollers were not like the kind in FL. They are much more infant-like.

Happy planning, wherever you go!
Thank you! I know we will get there eventually I haven't been since I was 9 so I would love to go back!
