Waiting to get a Femvue done. Wasn't expecting to have one done today, and I'm really nervous. Met with the new doctor and really like her. Happy to see her being proactive. So glad DH was able to meet me. Tell me its not going to hurt lol.

Mushe, it's basically a Sono HSG, but instead of using contrast dye, they use air and water. reduces the exposure to radiation.
so, she said everything looked fine. I'll go back on cd21 to get blood drawn for progesterone. then on cd3 she wants me back for another blood draw and an ultrasound to look at my follicles. she may start me on Clomid at that point.
so far, I really like her. I'm excited to finally get something going. we both got a good feeling from her. she basically said, if we're going to do something, might as well start now.
we're still waiting on results of DH's SA, but those will be sent right to her, so she'll have all of the info right there.

oh, and holy hell that was uncomfortable! I took extra strength Motrin about 45 minutes beforehand, but the cramping was pretty bad when they injected the saline and air. my right side was much worse, too. poor DH's hand was going numb!
I'm doing much better now, only a mild cramp every now and then thank goodness.

Uh oh. This does not sound good. I'm having it done next week.
I am glad the experience, while uncomfortable, is over with and now you can get some answers and come up with a plan. And I am super glad you like your new OB!

I had that done last Dec. I took about 800 mg of ibuprofen 1 hour before. The worst part was when they inflated the balloon but other than that the anxiety leading up was much worse than the procedure itself. Glad it's over and everything is looking okay!
I think I'm in the minority, but the HSG didn't hurt at all! It wasn't worse than any Pap smear. I also took Aleve 2 hours ahead of time (it was supposed to be 1 hour, but they were running late so it ended up being 2)
