I'm disappointed in one of my friends. I keep putting myself out there and I'm getting fewer and fewer responses from her. I know she's busy with work and family, but come on, I'm really trying to keep things going. I'd like a little bit in return.
I'm wearing a super comfy/cute fleece top. It makes me happy!
I think some here are familiar with Atlanta... I used to drive from OTP to ITP via 400 and 85. Not the most hellish commute, but it was bad. And I was young, so I didn't handle it well at all. Typically took me two hours to get to work and two hours to get back. I tried MARTA, but I still had to get through an hour long commute just to get to the first station, so it just didn't make sense.
I'm annoyed as hell at a friend from work who just announced she is pregnant. I am annoyed because i know her husband is a douchebag and her marriage is awful! WHY do people do shit like this???

I have a 2.5 mile commute right now so I get it, doglove.
I like driving, and like to zone out and listen to music. I commuted 45 minutes to class my last semester of college. But it gets old.
I enjoy driving too. I think when you have to vs when you want to makes the differnce. Kwim?
Agreed.
I'm driving 4.5 hours tomorrow to the other side of WI to see an old friend, and am looking forward to the drive. It also helps that I will see doriswe along the way!
I love driving! I just don't like being forced to drive at the worst possible times. I've driven day-long drives before, and I loved every minute of it. Open road? Check! Music? Check! Snacks and Water? Check! Let's see how far we can go!
It's the traffic that makes commuting suck. (Although, even in traffic, I still enjoy driving 285 and 75. You will find me in the left lane, zipping right through those curves. Those interstates are mine! lol)
One of my favorite memories involves a nine-hour drive up to Kentucky. Our car wasn't suitable for a long drive like that, so we decided to rent a cheap sedan. Welp, rental place messed everything up and even though we'd made an early reservation, they didn't have a car for us. So we got a free upgrade! To a DODGE CHARGER. Gods - I LOVED DRIVING THAT CAR.
OMG - talk about shooting the gap between two semis? Easy! That car was so much fun!
My commute is about 45 minutes in the morning and an hour in the afternoons. I've discovered that there are far less cars on the road at 5:30 am than at 3:30 pm. It's actually not terrible. I'd call it an easy commute if the whole goddamn state wasn't under road construction right now... again.
I had to shoot bear down for sexxy time this morning since I had a gyn appointment scheduled for this afternoon. I got to work this morning and AF showed up instead. So not only did I not get sex, but now I have this bitch to deal with, and I had to reschedule my appointment. Grrr.

SwimDeep, DH has a 2014 Dodge Charger (with the V8 hemi, of course)...that engine definitely came in handy a few times on the drive to/from Canada!
I have a ~30 mile/45-minute commute each way, but it's mostly back country roads, so there's very little traffic, which is nice. I listen to the radio on the way.
ETA: I just found plane tickets for Thanksgiving for $350 each from our home airport! Everything I had seen so far involved either a $450 minimum ticket price or an hour+ drive to another airport.
I went in for an eye exam yesterday because I have begun squinting and can't see well at all. Getting headaches etc.
My eyes changed subtly but not enough to make sense with how much I can't see. He did another test and told me it's probably because my eyes are extremely dry/irritated, and told me to use a specific non-prescription eyedrop 3-4 times a DAY indefinitely, and I would see better. My eyes burn a lot of the time (including today) so it makes sense. I just want to see. I am still squinting with the new tv.

I loved driving that Charger! Loved it so much that by the time we got home I wanted to buy one! My car was a Nissan Maxima ('97) - V6. It was nice, and I loved it...may it rest in peace.
