ONE SHOULDN'T BE SO FAR FROM FORT COLLINS.
But anyways... lol. Do you want to stick to a skirt/dress? Because you could pair a maxi skirt and a cute blouse or find a pretty cardigan to top a dress since it will be chilly.

I'd probably go with some fleece tights and a mid-length dress or blouse/skirt combo. It probably gets pretty chilly once the sun goes down even if the reception doesn't last until the later hours.
**note, I have never been to a Colorado wedding, though, so someone else might have better suggestions.

If you're wearing leggings/rights I think shorter booties are cute. If there's grass/gravel/outdoors, I'd stick with flats over heels cause I get annoyed.
One wishes her destination was closer to Fort Collins!
Good ideas! What about shoes?
A black lace dress (a-line, non-structured shape) with white lining probably wouldn't be appropriate for an afternoon weekend, would it?
I think it would be fine, as long as more black than white. Maybe some closed toed black or nude pumps? Just be careful with the height of the shoes if it's an outdoor venue, sometimes heels can be tricky on certain terrain I've found. I definitely sunk into the grass at the last outdoor wedding I went to not knowing the ceremony part was outdoors, but I wasn't the only one, haha!

I took a second look at lunch. It's actually black lace with white detail, kinda like this:
I'd like to wear heals, but I have no idea what kind of terrain I'll be on. The invite just says "in the mountains of Lake City".
Thanks for the help. I'm not dead-set on that dress, so your input will help!
Ooh, I like that dress a lot! I think it's wedding-appropriate.
It's not quite like that. Mine is 3/4 sleeve and flairs at the hips instead of being fitted. It feels kinda 90s-ish to me. Like I should wear it with my Doc Martins. Haha!

Doooo itttttt!
Don't tempt me! haha
Unfortunately my Docs are brown and my husband would have a cow if I wore them with black! Nevermind the whole wearing boots with a dress thing.
Will there be dancing at the reception? If so, I'd go with bare legs and a wrap. I get so hot when I'm busting it out on the dancefloor, haha.
I'll work on that PIP for ya!
They are serving dinner, so I assume there will be dancing as well. I haven't delved into the world of tights yet (might happen this winter), and I'm usually fine with bare legs when it's chilly as long as my shoulders and toes are covered, so bare legs it will be.
I got more info on the venue and it was suggested to wear flats or wedges. I've got flats and super low wedges that will go, but I might use this as an excuse to buy some new shoes.
I used the excuse to buy some new shoes, so this is what I'm wearing...unless it's raining and the wedding has to move inside (because these are faux suede).
