Maybe it is my hair texture, but i swear my hair can knot up on it's own. I could be sitting at the office, walking outside on a windy afternoon, or sitting completely still and not moving my head.
I see so many girls with perfect curls or straight hair, and i weep for my fly aways. I have hairs that stick up or fly away. Verona for example has perfectly coiffed curls. How do i accomplish this?

Deva cut and DevaCurl products have been amazing for my curls. The cut has been the most amazing thing. I pay a lot of money for the best reviewed stylist I could find and my hair has maintained shape as it grows out. Life changing.

I wash/blow out my hair once a week and it is so much better. It took a couple months to get to washing it so little, but it doesn't look greasy or dirty, even on wash day now! I have to blow it out though, if I let it air dry it looks dirty after a couple days. I use a dry shampoo one or two times a week on my bangs and front of my hair. In the mornings I reshape my bangs with the hairdryer.

Oh to clarify, i dont have curly hair. I mean when i curl it or just wear it straight. Is this method for all hair types?

The more products I use, the better my hair looks.
I got complimented on my hair last night. I shampooed, conditioned, spray detangler, mousse on my roots, blow dry, flat ironed, hair spray, and then root lift at the top. It took me about 90 minutes including washing and drying time.
I only wash my hair every 3-4 days, and the more product I put in day 1, the better it lasts over several days.

I have straight thick hair that gets frizzy (florida humidity).
Keratin treatment was the best thing I ever did! I'm on month 3, it's soft and silky. I can blow it dry for 2 min w a paddle brush if I want to get fancy, or just air dry it for work.
Not sure if it would hold a curl tho, but still has body.

My hair has been much less tangled (I also suffered from the "I stood up and now my hair is tangled" phenomenon) and more polished looking since I got a blunt cut. I know there are a lot of hair textures that absolutely need layers, but I don't think I will go back to them, personally.

Disregard. I listed a bunch of questions about this, but I just learned that Google is my friend, so no need to answer the all.

My hair is far from perfect, but the flyaway/slight frizz situation got so much better when I stopped using cheap shampoo. I used to always use suave or herbal essence. Then I got some expensive shampoo & conditioner for free (it's called Eufora) and it completely changed my hair! I'm scared that I'm going to have to start paying $50 a bottle for this stuff soon but I actually think it may be worth it (and if you knew how cheap I usually am, you wouldn't believe I would even consider it).

I want to hear more, please.
This is the top of my list for "splurges" now that I'm about to return to work next week. I'd love to save some time getting ready in the morning.
Do you get a specific kind of Keratin treatment?
How often do you have to get it done?
How long does it take to get done?
How long do you have to leave it unwashed when you first get it done? And does it smell?
ETA: Do you know if you can get it done when you have highlights/color-treated hair?
Inquiring frizzy thick hair minds want to know!
This was my first time, I did it last week if June and it's still great. It was $250 but it came with a haircut (regularly like $80). They shampoo/conditioner was another $50, but I'm still using the same bottles. I wash every other day (my girl would prefer less but it's too hot and sweaty for me).
It was calledBrazikian Keratin and it's formaldehyde free (although had aldehyde in it, not sure of the diff). I could was my hair right away. Actually, she did the whole thing then washed it and blew it out. It prob took 2 hours, with the cut and the 2 blowdries (they flat iron it in your hair before they wash it again).
Wash, stuff and flat iron, wash, cut, blow out were the steps.
It did not smell and you can have color treated hair.
I was a little nervous about the price (bw treatment, shampoo, and tip it was closer to $400) but honestly it's been SO worth it. I could prob do it 2x year at this rate. It's still silky smooth.
Honestly it has saved years off me. My moms hair is so thick and brittle now that it's grey and I have her hair, to me it's life maintenance.
It really is as simple as trimming regularly and staying away from that shitty plastic-like drug store shampoo.
I'm definitely snobby about hair care. I admit! At the same time, I guffaww so much when people here complain about their hair in the same breath where they admit that they have cut it in 2 years or that they are faithful to pantene or something.
I admit i am overdue for a trim. For shame. I use redken, but maybe i should branch out. I love it though

My hair sounds exactly like yours. Super thick, gets knotted up ALL the time. I find the knots are much better if I don't use any hair products on it. But it still happens. Sorry, I can only offer commiseration, not advice!

My granddaughter has very long, thick, and bouncy hair that knots up on it's own overnight. She has started putting her hair in a braid (or two) at night and this helps keep her hair under control during the day.
I keep split ends trimmed, use kenra moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, its a 10 leave in spray with keratin and coconut serum when its still wet. Then I apply heat. My hair is the only routine I have down and dont deviate from because its working.
