I was very boring this weekend. We went shopping for me, which normally excites me, but I just wasn't feeling it. We don't have a lot of money for that kind of thing at the moment, but I desperately need some work clothes that fit me properly. And several other items I've been putting off purchasing. I bought a few things, but nothing exciting.
Since I seem to have had such a huge improvement in health in the last year, I've crept back up to my original weight (120lbs) which isn't necessarily a bad thing. But its kind of a pain in the ass, because 1) its been about 3 years since I've been that size, so I have nothing in the closet and 2) I'd like to start TTC in the next few months, so I really have no desire to buy clothes that I might only wear for a few months. But I can't go to work naked, or in ill fitting clothes. Particularly right now, work is insanely busy and I'm working with the higher ups, so gotta look the part.
Ok, enough complaining. Sunday was decent. Did some cleaning, and feel better about the state of the house, made soup.
Did some photos for H and his Mom. Mock-up wedding re-shoot, but I wasn't involved in the shots. That would be insane. MIL complained bitterly (the day AFTER the wedding) about the wedding photos b/c there were barely any pictures of her 'with her son'. We had the photographer from 9am - 10:30 pm. There was absolutely no excuse, she should have 1) been there in the morning when he was getting ready and 2) spoken up since she apparently noticed that at the wedding --- and stewed on it all day. Total passive-agressive BS. Don't get me started on that one... but at least its over and she's happy now with the photos with her and H.
Whoops, there we go with more complaining, can you tell I'm grumpy this morning?? LOL. Have a wonderful Monday ladies!
Saturday night we did the Neon Vibe 5K. Basically, The Color Run but at night, with black lights, and they throw powder at you and spray you with paint water. Pretty fun!
Yesterday we watched the Lions game and celebrated my BIL's birthday. Overall, It was nice and relaxing weekend.
I'm getting house fever/the itch to move. We've lived in our townhouse for 2 years and it doesn't feel like home to me. Our first apartment felt like home but maybe that's because we were newlyweds. I'm going to be doing some decorating/organizing soon to rearrange things but man, I just want to buy a house. Damn MM convincing me to save 20% for a DP.
Sounds like fun! I've always wanted to do that, but am paranoid about all that powder floating in the air (allergy) and am not looking for a reaction.
I hear you on the itch to move. We love our home, and if we could, we'd pick it up and move it to a better lot. We're in a townhouse now, and we're hating the proximity to everyone. No privacy. We're not in a position to move at the moment.
GL on the house re-arranging/hunt whatever you end up doing!

I've been wearing skirts, dresses and stretchy capris all summer so I didn't realize until Friday that of the 20+ pairs of work pants, I literally only have 1 pair that fits properly. I feel your squeeze.

Friday, MIL stopped by to share the latest work drama (we all work at the same place). Then H and I watched 12 Years A Slave.
Saturday, my sister and her kid stopped by. We did some clothes shopping. Then some grocery shopping.
Sunday, worked out, did the usual Sunday laundry, then made sure most everything is in order for people to crash at our house when my sister has her baby.

Both the H and I were off work on Friday, so we went to a new restaurant that has Peruvian cuisine for lunch. It was really good, especially the ceviche! Just did some housework after that and watched some DVR shows in the evening.
Saturday was all football, all day. I did make some baked garlic chicken parmesan for dinner before my game started, so that was pretty yummy.
Yesterday we went to meet some friends at a bar that was on Bar Rescue earlier this year to watch the Texans game. Probably won't be going back, though, as there were a few issues that left us a bit unsatisfied with the experience. But their wings were pretty good, so it wasn't a total failure.
I have been experiencing really bad headaches (I NEVER get them!) for the last 6 days, so Friday I went to the doctor and she ordered an MRI asap. It all came back negative, but it wiped me out. Jer took me to an early dinner and I passed out by 10pm.
Saturday we worked out and then went to get apples, cider, and donuts. They were all amazing and the weather was perfect for it - 52...brrr!! We stayed in and watched the last two episodes of Breaking Bad. Hot damn, it was so good!
Sunday Funday - the Bills and Broncos both won!! We stayed in for the Bills game since it was televised and then went to the sports bar around the corner for the Broncos game.

Busy busy! Friday I ended up working late so we scrapped happy hour and went out to dinner and then for drinks. Saturday we met friends at the racetrack for a beer & bourbon festival. Ate lots of good food truck food and drank a LOT of good booze (and didn't win on a single race!). Then we all went out to a pub afterward for dinner. G fell asleep on the way home and went straight to bed-- I think he had a good time! Sunday we slept in, ran some errands, then met the ILs for dinner downtown. Then we went to the Orioles game which was so much fun. We had front-row seats and they had all kinds of special presentations for the Star Spangled Banner Festival and for Jeter's retirement. AND we beat the Yankees.
Friday we had friends over for a bbq. It was the most fun I've had in a long time. People were over until 3am, there were fireworks set off, and tippy cup played. Good times.
Saturday I cleaned up from our chaos Friday, then we went to the UW game. Game was fun, good win. After the game, we met up with my sister for a quick dinner. My sis and I then went to the Katy Perry concert. Her concert was amazing! A beautiful show.
Sunday was recovery day. Went out for breakfast after sleeping 'til 11am and then just hung around the house.

LOL! Me too! ONE stinkin' pair of pants! I'm trying to figure out how many pairs I can reasonably get by on
To those of you who take trips with girls - Am I the only one who gets mentally exhausted? It might not even be because they're girls but ... I'm pretty sure MH is the best person to take a road trip/vacation with, so when I go without him - I want to pull my hair out by the end of the trip.
I have been "busy" during the last couple of girls trips for this reason. It's a lot.
I am going on a trip to Vegas in March, but it's with my more chill friends so I think I'll be ok.
