Perfect Sunday here too! Drinking a sea breeze pool side heading to chow down on some steak. I've only been up for 9 hours including a two hour nap on a hammock on the beach.

I am still recovering from last night. I went to a bday party and then we all went out to the bars. Way to much to drink so I have done nothing today.
My best local friend just accepted a job offer in NYC. I'm so happy for him since it is his dream job but I am sad he is leaving. I don't have many close local friends and I am going to miss having him around.
Sitting at home with the front and back door wide open while watching the Bears game. Perfect night. The only thing that would make it better would be if I were eating wings. Jealous abcdefu

I'm eating leftover pizza and watching season 5 of True Blood. Did you know that pizza toasted in the toaster oven to reheat is even better than fresh pizza? This is the truth.

I'm exhausted. Came home to find the wifi broken for like the hundredth time. My kid has been having one meltdown after another and he doesn't want to go to bed after staying at his grandmas all weekend and getting to stay up past 10.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
I just found out that my brother (my only family member that lives somewhat close to me) is moving across the country. Now I will have absolutely no family near me and my list of friends is really really short. I'm feeling very alone tonight.

I made a super easy crockpot recipe tonight (Autumn Apple Pulled Chicken) and it made my entire house smell like fall. Yummm. I can't wait for lunch tomorrow!

I may have practically lapped up the remnants of the soup I made tonight. So freaking good. I have a collection of recipes that I saved when my exH and I were together, but I don't know which ones he liked over which ones I liked, so I'm going through them all and deleting the ones that I find meh. This one is such a damn keeper. Like PIP23, I can't wait for lunch tomorrow!
I'm looking through jobs now (and have been everyday). Hopefully I find something right for me soon!
It's kinda chilly here and I'm totally welcoming the fall. Laundry is done, lunches for tomorrow are packed..I think I accomplished a lot at home this weekend. J is watching football/working and there's a lot more space in the new place so we're not falling all over each other constantly. The cool weather does have me pondering the holiday season and thinking about wtf that's going to be like with my mom planning to be away...again. I'll probably start a post about that eventually because I will need to vent/insight.
They are special socks with the toe area cut off. Too keep your feet warmer if you are leaving the nail salon. Or at home to moisturize longer and well to keep your feet warm. lol.

My ex, who gives me zero financial support, threw away my daughter's favorite shoes this weekend because he thought the soles were too worn. I am so pissed.

Recipe please!
The recipe came from this book, but I'm reciting it from memory:
1/2 tsp paprika (I used 1 1/2 tsp. of Pumpkin Pie Spice instead of the cinnamon/paprika)
Salt & pepper to taste if desired.
In a large crock pot, combine the chicken, onion, apples, chicken broth, cranberries and spices. Stir until well combined. Cook on low heat for 6 hours. Shred the chicken and return to the crock pot, mixing the chicken with the sauce. Serve on buns.

MMMMM!! How do you make that?
ETA: I love the new pic of your boys! Adorable!
Quoting so you'll see the recipe I posted for Doris.
And thank you!!! I think they're pretty cute myself

That sounds amazing. May need to purchase a new crockpot just for this.
