Jem - Wear all pinks and sparkles, and pink eyeshadow.
I will need to stare at my closet and see if I can do either of these. Or perhaps a visit to goodwill is in my future.
Effie Trinket was the other one that occurred to me. My hair is dark though...I'm not buying a wig. Just go with dark haired Effie, or try colored hair spray stuff?
The colored hairspray stuff works to a point. You could just go as a general city person though.
@missusbee, your eyes look great! ETA your lips look nice too, doesn't clash. You have lovely skin. Do you have any blush on? A tiny pop of color would look great.
Thank you! I have Clinique chestnut blush on right now, which you can't really see in the picture. Now that my tan is fading I think I need to play with pinks.
Maybe that blush sampler @majorwife posted Christmas list!

Jem is a good one! Pink hair spray. I wonder how hair chalk would work in your hair?
wawa, I vote Rosie the Riveter. A good 40's face is amazeballs.
Oh, I think this might win. Doesn't really count as "crazy" makeup, but the idea of actually putting on Effie trinket makeup on a random Tuesday was starting to scare me.
I am not dressing up this year as I have to take my dad to the doctor but I might do some fun eye make up.
Sorry, no FOTD this week as well, I am not feeling it. I barely have time in the morning to do my make up and when I do, it looks sloppy.
Bright side-I did make an appointment at the Bobbi Brown counter to get help with my make up application so I can look halfway decent for a wedding in a couple of weeks.

I figured that would be the appeal. You could go out with a good foundation, a bright red lip, a gorgeous subtle eye, and you'd still feel comfortable. Plus, the rest is going to come together easily.
Admittedly, I thought you would try the Effie, feel weird it in, then chicken out on us lol.
Bonus, you've already practiced your winged eyeliner.

I might still do Jem or Effie or something for walking around with Shorti on Friday night if I've got time. but yeah, I was having sudden visions of an unplanned client meeting and getting sweaty palms.
I don't have pics, but my makeup at my brother's wedding was a hit. My husband, my stepfather, my mom, and my SIL all said that I looked really good (unprompted!).
I used:
Tarte BB cream Tarte amazonian clay foundation (I like this a lot better with the brush and BB cream, but undecided about buying again) Chocolate Bar eyeshadow - black forest truffle, strawberry bonbon and champagne truffle UD 24/7 eye pencil in perversion Benefits They're Real! Tarte exposed blush Sephora cream lip stain in classic beige
So I forgot I put all my Back to MAC empties in the car this morning. After my meeting I drove back to Macy's and turned in my empties for two lovely new lipsticks. Dare You and Craving. Dare You is outside my comfort zone so it should be fun.
Also, since I was already there I decided to get my brows done at the Benefit Brow Bar. My flameful addition to this is that it was the first time I've ever waxed.

Dare You
Craving
Dare you is my fave MAC lippie so far! Hope you enjoy it!
Bite Peche Small container of Ole Henriksen sheer transformation
then a ton of free stuff.
My Rouge birthday gift the 500 point Bobbi Brown set a three piece Fresh sugar lip treatment set (code VIBFRESH)
WHEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have only done a cursory investigation, but the Bobbi Brown pot rouge is a gorgeous color. It appears to be in the same family as Mac Fever, so it may have saved me from buying that. Also the lip gloss in that set is super shiny and really pretty.
In other makeup news, I wore my free Bare Minerals lipstick in Speak Your Mind today. I put it on at 8:30 and it still looks great. Formula is lovely - nice smell, not drying. I will definitely buy more of this line.
My order from HauteLook arrived. I ordered How Bout Them Apples and Frat Boy blush from theBalm.
Liking the Apples lip/cheek palette for my lips. All the colors are gorgeous. Haven't tried them on my cheeks yet. Frat Boy is a pretty color. I can't wait to use it. I've been pleased with my blushes from theBalm. They're all nicely pigmented and blend like a dream.
I tried out three of the minis from the Sephora set and I'm pretty impressed with most of the. The Stila lipgloss is pretty impressive even though the color is a little off for me. It's thick but not sticky, held on fine through my coffee and snack, and surprisingly there was still some stain left after eating spaghetti with pesto for lunch. This is going on my wish list in other colors (fingers crossed for a holiday set!). I also tried out the Fresh Berry balm and really liked the color and texture. The sample is pretty generous but I might be tempted to rebuy if it runs out before I lose it. I'm retrying the red Sephora stain and feeling a little more positive about it this time. It has a strange gelatin-like texture while wet and takes a few layers to build to a nice color. The staying power was terrible in the heat of the summer (like most everything else) but maybe it will last longer in more reasonable weather.
I got my haute look order today too but I didn't even get a chance to open it before I ran to work. I had ordered several Josie Maran things during that sale.
I tried my sample of HG immaculate foundation (yes, I'm a week behind on the sample challenge, lol) and wow, it's lovely! The sample I got was a little on the ungenerous side so I had them make me another one today when I went to get the Bite beauty Zin (yes, I caved!). I also have a sample of the YSL Fusion Ink that I want to try out and I got a sample of Pixy's eye cream, the algenist eye balm.
I got the Sephora moonbaked palette in "In the tropics" and i'm on the fence. It has some lovely colors in it and it was only $15 so it may stay by default.

I'm wearing Craving today and it's what I wore on my wedding day. One of my favorites!

I love this!! I want to wear my make up like this everyday.
...but somebody's gonna have to explain to me why this bronzer is 89 bucks.
WTF? To 89 dollar bronzer.
But I really like the lipstick pencil set.
I've been researching it.
Despite the fact that it has a different name, it's apparently a double-size Laguna, their most popular bronzer. Why wouldn't they call it by the same name???
This looks straight out of a magazine. You are so gorgeous! I am putting Craving on my list. Love it! How is the staying power?
Aw, thank you so much! I think the staying power is great and it is creamy so it doesn't dry out my lips. It really is a flattering color. I wore it when my hair was dark brown too and loved it then.
