wawa, I get my brows waxed every 6 weeks or so (European Wax Center is GREAT, and pretty much everywhere), and I use Anastasia Brow Pomade with an angled brush. Yesterday's lips were NYX air kiss 404, with a peach gloss over top.
I also got the 20% off everything. It's unfortunate that H and I had the "you have been spending too much on makeup lately" talk two days ago, lol. Maybe my MIL will have taken my not-a-hint and bought me an Ulta gift card for my birthday tomorrow.
I've been a little tired of going over the top with all my makeup and have desire to have a natural flush makeup look along these lines:
Today I used Benetint on my cheeks (woah this is very different consistency than my posietint...much, much thinner) and BeneBalm on my lips (love this stuff already!). I used IT NP palette (Sheer Joy all over, Soft Light on lid, Mocha on crease/outer V). Tarte Chocolate eyeliner. Tarte Amazonian mascara. Anastasia Duo Brow Soft Brown.
HG foundation, benefit concealer, new MAC blush in a plummy fall color (forgot the name - sorry!). Just got my Vice3 palette ($10 with Ulta points, yay!) and I loooooooove it. I also love the new lipstick. It's that MAC one with Brook Shields, the name is Gospel. It looks SUPER dark in the case, but it's very sheer on and very pretty.

I showed restraint with my 20% coupon.* I bought the Tarte holiday lip set and UD's primer potion duo. The primer potion wasn't an immediate need, but $29 for two full size tubes is an awesome deal.
*I only showed restraint because everything I wanted was out of stock. Jerks.

I can't decide on the Benefit cheek set. I have little sample pans of Dandelion and Hoola that I've barely touched, so I'm having a hard time convincing myself one way or the other.
Does anyone wear BB cream under foundation? Is this a thing? I've been doing this and I kinda love it. My face is clearing up, my foundation lasts all day, and I feel really moisturized. (I also wear moisturizer under the BB cream.)
I use the UD Naked BB Cream, and I think of it as a primer.
I don't know that I actually need it, and I skipped it all summer because I don't like the feeling of multiple layers of makeup on my skin in warmer weather, but in cooler weather, it's a nice addition because it sort of smooths out my pigmentation and gives me an added layer of moisturizer. I guess I wouldn't put it in my "must have" category, because I use good quality foundation that gets the job done by itself, but I enjoy it. I am traveling this week and bringing it along, for whatever that endorsement is worth.

I am guessing that this product will not sell out before Christmas, and because of the fugly and highly seasonal packaging, it will be marked down on December 26th.
I get to do a market study for sephora on Saturday, woo hoo!! So send me your gripes
I don't have a lot of incentive to shop at Sephora. I prefer to go to Ulta because the rewards I earn there are much more valuable to me. I've already cashed in my points for $125 off a purchase once this year and will have enough to do so again before Christmas. I wish Sephora had a better program. Cashing in my points there to get a sample of something that is a GWP at Ulta isn't much incentive for me, so I only wind up shopping Sephora for things Ulta doesn't carry.
Sephora has better customer service, sure, but I'm lured more by value for my money.

ALL THE SAMPLES! But seriously, I get a little disappointed that they don't hand out free samples of things in-store like they do online. I am just a sucker for extras.

Sephora is all about instant gratification. You get very little for your long term loyalty, but if you want free shit on any given day, it's not hard to come by, and because they don't do much in terms of promotions, there's not a lot of incentive to wait for a good one. And your shit comes pretty quickly.
Ulta definitely rewards loyalty, but man, you need patience. To get the most out of Ulta, you need to wait for a good promotion - extra points, great GWPs, the Beauty Breaks, etc. Once you've waited that long, then you've got to wait 10 days for your online order to arrive. Then you've got to keep doing that over and over again to build up your point stash to get the great rewards.

Just say no unless you want to smell like a highly scented old lady.

Being Rouge means jack shit. If they're going to make the status a big deal, it should ACTUALLY be a big deal.
I completely agree with this. I don't notice a difference in any benefits. 3 day shipping really isn't that great. It still always takes a week because of processing time.
I have not gotten an Ulta coupon. If I get shut out of this coupon after not getting the last 20% off coupon, I can not be responsible for my behavior.
Oh, unrelated to anything, here are two product raves.
The Bobbi Brown mascara. I LOVE THIS MASCARA. It is very, very black (is it just me, or is the MUFE birthday mascara gray?). There is a normal brush. It both lengthens and volumizes. And it does not require a chisel to remove, but it even stays put and does not smear all over your face. It is my favorite.
The Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47. I haven't been wearing it every day, but I used this as my face sunscreen in Hawaii. It is awesome. It is not greasy. It smells fucking amazing. So amazing, that when it is time to reapply face sunscreen, you will be all "YES!!! I GET TO SMELL THAT STUFF AGAIN." Which in turn makes you want to smear it on your face all the time, instead of being all "fuck, do I really have to put that shit on my face again? GAH." And I suspect it actually is SPF 47 because my face remained its normal color the entire week. I didn't even have slight raccoon rings from the sunglasses. It caused no breakouts or weirdness to my face. Even my husband loved it. I can't speak to how it works as a daily moisturizer, but it is going to be my face sunscreen for life.

this is where I am at. And except for sometimes not getting good coupon codes despite being platinum, I haven't had the problems with ulta some of y'all have.
