I'm slammed and have a project I need help on!!! My sweet friend, whose husband has ALS, needs help with the fundraiser they are doing on the 27th.
She called me on Friday to take me up on my offer to help. With little or no time to spare, I need to come up with an idea (as well as assemble it!) based on the below criteria.
* They are doing 20 different prize raffles. They're selling tickets to each of them. People can chose which prizes they want to try for. * They want a box for each different prize so people can drop their raffle tickets into the box. They want the box to be where people can't see how many tickets have been entered for each prize. It has to hide the tickets.
They want me to create these boxes/jars/whatever I decide on. Anyone have ideas? Design? Help is very much appreciated
You could see how many tickets were in each bag if you peeked, but it seemed like an easy solution.
As for something that actually fits your criteria -- You could get jars (like a large mason jar or something from Michael's perhaps) and swirl them with paint inside. It's similar in theory to this: www.michaels.com/chalky-finish-milk-jars/B_50741.html , but my mom has done it by just dropping the paint inside the glass and rolling it around to coat. Then you could have people drop the tickets in through a slice in the lid or something?

I'm thinking Mason Jars. They are cheap, easy, and fun. You can make signs for the different prizes and place above. Maybe have a banner with the different prizes and then a brief description on a piece of paper with the mason jar below.
Have you ever seen those empty paint can-type things at craft stores? You can insert paper around them so they're solid. That's what our library used for a similar raffle this year. Empty coffee cans would also work!

This is good too. Thank you! I just pulled this idea up and saw something where someone had painted them and put chalkboard labels on them. If anything, I'd like to use chalkboard labels for the prize names!
