I'm involved in MAW and it's harder for older kids. Last year a girl I met recorded a country song she wrote in a Nashville studio and performed it at an event we threw. I think a guided your without hunting or something with Nascar would be doable. Most wishes cost around $7k, not sure if that's why his requests weren't granted. I have a booklet of other recent wishes I can find if you need other ideas.
Make a Wish pulled this shit with my cousin. She wanted a week at horse riding camp. Denied. Go to the ocean. Denied. They basically pushed until Disney was the wish of last resort. My aunt and uncle were pissed.
squirrelymom - I used to work for this organization - and we did some wishes that involved cars - i'm not quite sure what his wish was - but will look back through posts. If you want to PM me, i'll be happy to provide any info that may be helpful
Yep, this is where I was heading. $5k is doable, right??
I have a car we have been putting off selling because it has been too much hassle with the baby. Not a muscle car though and its in Houston. Its worth a few k more than $5k but I would totally sell it for that if we could get it to Forrest.
I was granted a wish from MAW when I was 16. I asked for a car and was denied so I went with a trip to Hawaii with my mom, dad and my best friend. Disney wasn't pushed on me, but it's a really popular choice.

I really like some of these suggestions, squirrely & hopefully your sweet boy does too. I just wanted to congratulate you for not Screaming at these people!!! 'Do you understand the disappointment that my son has already experienced in his short lifetime?!?! And now you're telling me that I need to go ahead & let him mutherfucking down, AGAIN?!?!' Gah!!!! Good job not going balls to the wall ballistic, mama; don't know how you did it, but I'm, once again, amazed at your strength!
Is he really into cars? I wonder if they'd approve something like flying to the UK to be in the studio audience for Top Gear and meet the presenters, etc. Or maybe there's another car show or event he'd be interested in?
My sister asked for a car through Make-A-Wish many years ago, and she was told no due, well, my mom was, to liability insurance issues. I'm betting they said no to the hunt because it would likely upset some donors.
