Rant- i got new headshots back today for my website (well, a few full body) and allllll I can see are my giant thighs. Its lame that THAT is what I focus on. Why can't us women be happy with what we've got! .
Rave- photoshop for that shit! Suddenly Im down at least a pant size!
I hear this! I have like 3 really good friends, and one of them is my roommate. Due to my medical issues I never had a housewarming party. Well, as soon as I started feeling better, I invited a lot of the women I used to work with, who I thought were my friends. No one showed up and only two of my friends called to say they couldn't make it.
Making non-flaky friends sucks!
WinterIsComing, I hear you. I've come to the realization that most people I've associated with aren't real friends. All of my friends have left the area and moved further into the suburbs--99% have kid(s) mostly small babies. It makes me sad. My one good friend and I basically had it out recently due to ridiculousness on her part. Some of the chicks I work with are cool, but mostly we just have work in common. I feel like new friends are hard to make and the old friendships have drifted a lot. I don't know what the answer is.
That is exactly how I feel. As my friends started moving away, I mostly just stated being friends with STBXH's friends and they all disappeared when we separated. I keep hoping I can make one good friend who has an awesome social network then I can just poach all of her friends
I feel like I have been trying so hard to make new friends and it is a painful process to move acquaintances to the "real" friends. People are flaky and it is pissing me off.

I keep joking that I should get a roommate for this reason. If you are stuck living with me then I force you to be my friend.
TL just weirded out about something. I'm not sure exactly how to react, I'm open mouthed right now. Luckily this is a discussion via text. Because I want to flip. But I'm not going to, it won't help us discuss and move on. But DAMN.
Not date man is totally flirty with me via text. Like there is no doubt here.
That's good though, right?!?! I guess this helps answer your question on if it might have been a date before!
This is good. and fun. Can't wait to return to my therapist on Thursday. She was waiting to know too. Lol. It's good! He's picked up on texting me first and the conversation has picked up. 2 weeks till the concert.

OMG, I love my sister, but I swear she is out of her ever-loving mind. My mini-me second cousin is getting married (they have dated since 13, she is now 22. Seriously.) So, We are already joking about the bachelorette party and where should we go? We joke about the major party cities, Vegas, Cancun, New Orleans, etc. My sister is seriously throwing out groupons to Greece, Japan, China... WTF? A-no. We are not spending THOUSANDS on a bachelorette party. B-IT'S A BACHELORETTE PARTY! This means booze, bar hopping, and boy parts (as in penis straws). Who wants to go to Japan all "Woohoo! I'm getting married, bitches!" She is 22, not 35! Like...WHAT!?!
Holy shit, they've been together since she was 13??? How the hell does that happen???
Don't ask me! He is a really great guy, and she is a really great girl. Normally, I would think they are too young to get married, but they have been together for so long and been through a LOT together. I think they are just one of those exceptions. They have never even broken up, or almost broken up. It's amazing to me. The way he looks at her, it's like a damn romance novel, I swear.

I must've missed the back story on this... Why is he nick-named "not date man"?
Because we went out for a whole day in the city. Including lunch paid by him. But we never defined it as date.
He's an old Uni friend who I've gotten back in touch with. With my irl friends it's been a great debate if he was being friendly or interested. I think the next time I see him that can be defined now by actually talking about it.
He is upset about something I'm doing with a male friend. We are STILL discussing it. It has now evolved into a relationship evaluation, and stumbling blocks we need to remove to truly move forward. It's a bit scary, I don't think we will break up over this but we have some things to work out.
