Very cheesey moment btwn DH and I

but it was needed and it has put a smile on my face.

As you know DH and I haven't been jiving lately.  We had a blow up a few weeks ago, D word was thrown around and we started counseling.

This morning amid the hustle and bustle of getting two kids off to school and baby ready for daycare, DH comes into the kitchen, puts one ear bud in my ear, one in his and its Mariah Carey's "forever" is on. And we held me close and we danced. Its a cheesey song but I will admit I love it. And its so funny kids are running around, grabbing snacks, giggling at us and we just took three minutes to hold close and dance.

Its little things like this that really make me happy.

He has never done something like this before so this was big. and it was so nice. And then I put it on spotify at my desk and cried. Happy tears. totally cheesey but just like what les Paul said. It was that moment when I felt "we are going to be okay"

We've been once and we are keeping journals. Which are helpful. And we are making time for each other. that is also super helpful.

We go again on Thurs. One of the things that came out in the first one is that he feels I am always in MOM mode and never in WIFE mode. Which is true.  So I am trying to make a conscious effort to be more of a wife to him.

Hopefully he can be in DAD mode enough to make it possible for you to be in WIFE mode more : )
