Yes. In the 10 minutes I was in the cushion. Kitchen. True Freudian slip.
He has all the worst traits of a boxer and a basset hound. The stubbornness is even worse than the destructive tendencies. But he's adorable, good with the girls, gives the best kisses, and talks in a Chewbacca voice. So he lives.
LOL. I'm sitting here thinking about what kind of treats I would shower upon my dog if he ate our couch; I hate it, but can't get H on board with replacing things until they're threadbare and held together with baling wire and duct tape. Maybe I need to fill the cushions with peanut butter and training treats...

Rug roh. We had 2 boxers and one of them was destroying our couch. We were pretty sure we knew which one, but set up a video camera all day just to be sure. It took about 6.5 hrs, but we caught him red handed. Some of the funniest home video ever, lol.
Glad you got the couch back somewhat in place.
We had a similar situation. First (last and only) time we ever left the beagle not gated into our kitchen, we set up a webcam to watch what she did. We got to watch her in horror as she destroyed a velvet Victorian couch that had been in DH's family since the early 1900s.

Oh no! We have a 4y/o boxer/something mix & he is a trip. He's eaten two holes in the couch, the baseboard off the wall, and one of the decorative corners off the baseboard. He will be crated 4 lyfe.
I refuse to be believe such a sweet face can be so destructive. Refuse.
...says the girl whose pit mix has singlehandedly destroyed half of my underwear supply along with numerous sports bras, multiple pairs of running shorts and capris, and my favorite jeans. The sweet faced ones are always the most destructive. It's like they know their sweetness is what keeps them alive.

SO broke our trash can so we had to just use a bag for a couple of days until we found one we both like. The day I got out of the shower and found this is the day we got new bins.
