Went to the dermatologist after work and had some "old lady spots" on my face cauterized. Ouch...it's like a tattoo needle on fire...on your FACE. I'll look like shit for a few days now. Why do I have this since my late twenties?? Genetics..blah. Just tossed some laundry in..the convenience of a washer/dryer inside my apt makes my life so much easier. Last apartment was my only one without it and it sucked. The things that make me happy! I have no idea what to tell J to get me for my bday in November. He asked and I'm clueless. I don't want anything big or expensive...I'm just at a loss. His bday is coming up soon and when I asked him he said iPod...DONE.
I love love love having laundry in unit. I can throw it in and keep doing other things. Only problem is when I'm too lazy to get stuff out of the dryer so I have refluff everything a few times.
I just got new laundry detergent and I want to wash my sheets because it smells so good, but that would force me to have to get the clothes out of the dryer and I'm not up for that.

Finally made it home -- Tuesdays are always my worst work day. Today I wasn't at my desk after 8 am, just meetings and meetings. After work though I did grab a margarita with some friends, so I feel a bit better about the day.

I am stressed to a level that I'm fairly sure I've never been stressed to tonight. Everything in my life feels chaotic and wrong and so much of it is out of my control. Then on top of it all I seem to be experiencing anxiety which seems to be preventing me from doing the things I can do.
I caught a whiff of cat pee tonight. It's right in the old spot where he peed when he didn't feel good. I don't know if I just didn't get the smell out or if this is new, but I literally felt like I was going to fall apart when I smelled the floor. Honestly, I know it's trivial, but with everything else going on, I felt like I was going to just scream. I scrubbed it with vinegar and water. It doesn't look like he's peed on the wall recently because there are no marks, but I can smell it. I can't fucking scrub the wall because the fucking paint comes right off. So the pee probably penetrated the cheap-ass paint and is in the drywall now. Awesome.
gozf, I know your cat had a peeing issue...did you find anything to get the smell out?
DS was back in a diaper by this evening. It was quite a hellish day with the potty training. I'm being irrational thinking he will go to kindergarten in a pull up but part of me really believes it. It doesn't help that I get no cooperation from my ex in regards to potty training.

I'm working all night tonight. Blah.
Hugs lady. Don't put so much pressure on yourself to get this done. You have a lot going on. I promise you he will not go to kindergarten in a diaper.

All I want to do is comfort eat.
Ohh. I feel your pain. I really do.
I had luck with the Nature's Miracle that's specifically for cat urine. It made a huge difference. I also liked a product my vet carried called "Anti Icky Poo," but I've not seen it in stores. Maybe you could find it online?
I also found that my girls had fewer incidents after switching to an unscented clumping litter and having litter boxes without lids.

I had a nice relaxing night just staying home. Ate way to much pizza, watched a movie and cleaned a little. I have a realtor coming to look at the house tomorrow! Not sure if I am going to keep it or sell and buy something else, but I am excited to know what I might get for the house if I do decide to sell. One more step to making a decision!
This week is the first time where being home alone on week nights hasn't bothered me. It has been nice to relax, read, watch tv, etc. Before staying in made me focus on the fact that I was alone, but for some reason this week it has been less lonely. I feel like that is a good step in the right direction.
I went to Pilates, then Taco Bell, lol...in all fairness, I also play the heat card. If I ate what I have at home, I'd be stuck with heating the apartment up.

I went to NG's soccer game tonight. I mentioned before that I met his teammate's wife a while ago and we really hit it off and I was hoping we'd become friends. Well, at the game on Sunday, we exchanged numbers and have been texting a bit and she was at the game tonight, too, so we hung out. Yay for new friends! We're planning on doing lunch after I get back from Denver. This is huge for me because I was SO isolated when I was with stbxh, so it's nice to finally have a local girlfriend who is also a mom.

I very rarely comment on ML, but some of the posts are hilarious. One tonight did not sit well with me. I wish I hadn't read it because it infuriated me because I'm a bit biased. I probably won't be well received over there :/

If it's the one I'm thinking of, I don't think you'll have to worry, because most people had that same reaction. I don't know enough of the poster's past to know if she has a history with DV, but still, you don't joke about that. She's not a new poster, I don't think, but she's not a very regular poster on ML, so it's not like the horde is going to come after you.
I don't think I've ever been as relaxed as I am right now. I never wanna come back to the real world.
Where are you again? It sounds heavenly and I decided that I'm going to plan a vacation for myself next year. But I want it to be real and go away somewhere beach-y and just relax.

I went to Antigua last month for my first real vacation by myself. It was breathtaking! So beautiful and serene. Perfect beach vacation. I highly suggest it and can't wait to go back!

Did you stay at an all-inclusive? If so, which one?
I did stay at an all-inclusive. It was Jolly Beach Resort and Spa. It is a 3 star and is one of the older resorts on the island but the service was wonderful, they offered plenty of activities, the concierge was super helpful and booked all of my excursions for me, the room was very clean, and the food and drinks were all delicious. But most importantly the beach was immaculate and absolutely stunning! I was very happy with my experience and I got a great deal through cheapcaribbean . com. I was a little nervous about using that website at first because it felt very "too good to be true" I paid $1200 for 7 nights at the all inclusive and airfare. However, it was totally on the up and up and now I'm constantly looking for deals haha.
pantsoffdanceoff I'm in grenada at the sandals. Yes it's aimed at couples but that's one of the really nice things. There is no pressure to look good or whatever. And all the couples have new. super nice to my friend and I. There are 10 restaurants And drinks and all water activities included it's amazing! I've been eating filet mignon, ahi tuna and crazy amounts of sashimi. Last night we had a hibachi dinner and it was so fun! think I spent about 2800 for seven nights including first class airfare from the west coast.
We have a room that walks out into a semi private pool

I am trembling with jealousy looking at those pictures. I will be researching that place tonight!

My best friend and I were talking about going to a couples resort next spring. We were debating if it was weird to not go as two single women. I think you just sold me completely on the idea!
