I've cancelled and reschedule the appointment twice already bc I kept chickening out. Not bc I don't want to do it but bc I'm scared of change especially when it comes to my hair lol but I'm really looking forward to it. H isn't much help, I keep getting the "you'll be beautiful to me no matter what" line.

I'm not going to be helpful here but oh well! I like your hair lighter than the first pic for sure. The color it is now might be my favorite but the lighter would probably be show stopping on you. It sounds like you are looking to change things up a little so maybe keeping the base similar to your current color and having them work in some honey blond highlights?
I love the dark on you, and it's great for fall. I think the blonde may wash you out a little. So, I say go dark. But if you want to go lighter, add some blonde to your current hair, I wouldn't go all blonde.
I'm not liking that light color. You look great with your current color, and I really like the dark as well. It draws out your features and just seems to suit you.
My first thought was that I love your hair darker. Then, I saw the photo of it now and I like that color a little better on you. I would probably keep it that color, but it sounds like you want to try something new. So, I say go for it. I think it will look nice lighter too. I agree with your H. You are beautiful, so I think you will look great either way!

I love the color you have now it is gorgeous! I think if you're really set on going lighter throw a few highlights in so it's not so committal and shocking. With fall and winter coming (although your in Cali right so you can get away with it year round) I like more lowlights and darker for those seasons. But you are seriously stunning even if you had no hair or blue hair so I'm sure whatever you pick will look fab.
I love the darker color--but I'm biased, I have medium brown hair and always wished it was darker! I do think you'll look great either way, but since it's fall--I'd go darker (and maybe lighten up in the spring/summer).
I think the pic of the blonde you posted is way too blonde for you. Your hair looks great now. Just maybe add drama with some darker blonde/gold highlights mixed with lowlights. The pic of Jessie James is right on. And yes, your H is right:-)
Thanks everyone for the input! I guess I'm just bored with my look and ready for a change. I do agree with the comments and actually really like the pic that mryrcn posted as well and may take that in to lighten it up with highlights but not too light as the first pic.

Thanks again!!
That girl has great hair. There are more pics of her on the internet. Be careful though some might be inappropriate for work.
Lol! Yeah, she does, and a ton of it, I'd need some serious clip ins to have full hair like her. My fear with color is that lightening has the risk of getting brassy (as my hair has is right now) which I HATE. So I'm hoping this colorist can do it right. She colors my girlfriends hair and her hair looks amazing. So I'm hopeful!

You've already cancelled twice? You're probably going to have to do it to get it out of your system. The curiosity is killing you so I say, do it already. Otherwise you'll never be able to move forward with ANY haircolor. Your spouse is right that you'll be beautiful regardless, but I like dark hair on you.
