So, what's your favorite jelly/jam?

Inspired by recent events and by my licking the knife after making my kid's PB&J for tomorrow's school lunch :-)

Be as specific as possible in the comments :-) . And answer for what you prefer on your peanut butter sandwiches, not for what you prefer for spreading on toast or whatever else one might do with jam.


I've always liked strawberry jam best. (Although we've always referred to it as jelly.) My favorite now is Kirkland brand organic strawberry jam. It's actually the only kind my five year old will eat :-)

I almost never have jam or preserves, just because in my mind they go on toast, and I rarely eat toast. 

But if I were to choose, I'd go with blackberry, jam or preserves, not jelly. I like the fruit texture and seeds.

My mom's strawberry freezer jam is the most delicious.

I voted blackberry but then I saw that this is specifically for PBJs, so I changed my vote to raspberry. That's what my mom always bought so that just tastes "right" to me with peanut butter.

I like Strawberry.  I buy the Smuckers Natural.

My kids eat Strawberry, Raspberry and Grape.  When I was a kid I ate/liked grape jelly but not now LOL

of the two options i was given as a kid from what Aldi stocked, i always picked strawberry. hated grape.

i don't regularly eat any jam/jelly as an adult, but i would choose raspberry. preferably homemade.

Oh man, there is something about diner toast (white bread of course) smeared with grape jelly from one of those little tubs. Hangover food!

My dad and step mom make homemade jams and jellys every fall, and give us half a dozen jars every Christmas. Love it!

Homemade blueberry. I generally prefer jam but right now I have about 10 jars of jelly and it is perfection. My grandfather made it soft jell(?) style so it's really easy to spread.

My mom used to make jam. I liked her raspberry or blueberry best. HATE grape.

For me, it all depends on the bread. If it's a pb&j on white, grape jelly all the way. For whole wheat, I prefer raspberry, we get Polaner All Fruit, because it's what I grew up with.

Strawberry all the way!!!! With as few chunks as possible. I CAN eat other types now, but as a kid, it was a big deal to go to a friend's house where they had wheat bread, chunky peanut butter and grape jelly. It traumatized me.

Apple butter is my usual favorite. Followed by strawberry

I like all kinds of jam and jelly though. Not too picky if it's homemade.

If I have to buy it grape is the only kind I like the texture of.

Raspberry, duh! Strawberry is an okay substitute. We NEVER had grape jelly growing up.
