This. The two twin boys who lived down the street and had a crush on me asked me and my mom to go see it with them and their mom. They had a little sister a few months after and named her after one of Ariel's sisters.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit? I was 4 and giddy to see my first movie in the theater. Wound up getting scared then passing out. I love the movie to this day, however.
Oliver & Company. I went with a friend and her mom. Going to movies was not a thing for our family, so other than when I saw 101 Dalmatians with my aunt, I don't think I saw another movie in a theater until high school.
The Little Mermaid. I was in kindergarten, and I remember at first, I got nervous when the theater went dark (because, hello, DARK!!!!! Lol), and then pretty much immediately forgot about it once the movie started.
ET. I was terrified and we had to leave the theater.
I refused to watch it again until maybe last year. Yeah, it's not as scary as I remembered. Lol
Same! Except it was the neighbor kid we went with who made us leave We watched it with ds a year or so ago and he didn't think it was scary but he did cry when he thought et was dead.
