E has been screaming and inconsolable in the evenings. Once I get him to sleep, he wakes after 10 or so minutes. He refuses to latch and nurse. He just gets mad and screams louder.
I thought maybe it's teething, but it's only at night. He's been teething for months and still no teeth. His naps are 10 - 30 minutes unless being held.
When he wakes at night, he doesn't open his eyes, he just wails. Nothing comforts him except sitting up and vigorously patting his back til he falls asleep.
Any thoughts or suggestions as to what is going on? Should I take him to the pedi and have his ears looked at? No fever but he always messes with them.

Almost all of A's ear infections went this way, we didn't have fevers much, just really disrupted sleep and crying when flat or not on us. I say it's worth a shot to have his ears checked too, Kasper! Poor buddy I hope he gets better soon, that is miserable for you both.
ETA: good god, that was a lot of typos, even for me. This was a pre coffee response lol
I was going to say that sounded just like Reid a few weeks ago and it was his ears.
We also had to get some gas out of him. All that screaming caused him to be so uncomfortable. We used some gripe water/mylicon and he let out a huge burp and settled much easier.
What about poop? Has he pooped in awhile? That always causes R to scream.

Hmmmm he did not poop yesterday. We slowly started solids (pureed fruit and veggies, no cereal) because I'm terrified of constipation. I may try pears only, today. Thanks
Lillian had a really tough time with solids. It got to the point where the only food that didn't make her scream, which was in the evenings was sweet potatoes. She even puked a few times and had diarrhea . I remember 7-8 months old she started to get better with solids.
I agree with others, I'd probably get the ears checked too and mention the solids intro too. Hope it gets better!
