I am really not looking forward to today. I have to take DS with me to a lab for PG bloodwork and a 1-hour glucose test to check for pre-gestational diabetes (I had GD with my first pregnancy). So at least 2 hours of occupying DS in a lab, not even a doctor's office Plus, I'll get the results soon which I'm pretty confident will say I have diabetes I'm trying not to think about. Denial is not just a river in Egypt people.
I have been back to work since the 4th and I still do not have a functioning laptop and won't until Monday or maybe late Friday. I just want to work!
I'm so excited it's fall. We have tons of fun activities planned for the next several weekends - apple picking, the pumpkin patch, a Halloween event at the local zoo. Not to mention walks around the neighborhood enjoying the cool fall air and fall colors.
This crockpot dinner thing is saving us! A few weeks ago I made a ton of crockpot meals for which I froze the ingredients in zip lock bags. Now I take a bag out of the freezer at night and leave in the fridge then plop it in the crockpot in the morning and dinner is ready when we get home. I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner!
I wish I could put M to sleep on his belly. He just napped on his belly on the futon (I was right next to him and watching him), and he looked so comfy and peaceful. He's always grunting and whimpering when he sleeps on his back. (wilted)
M slept 8:30p - 7a. This has never happened in her 22 months of life. She often STTN but is up at 5:30, 6 at the latest. She also got out of bed on her own and walked to our bedroom this morning. Since transitioning her to a bed, she has been waking up and yelling for us and ultimately screaming until we go get her out of bed. This was much more pleasant!
C continues to wake up every 1.5-2hr. I know this is normal for 5 weeks but is one 3 hr stretch too much to ask for? Oh and he still hasn't pooped. I'm scared for what's to come.
Fwp - our house cleaners are coming this morning and I prefer to not be home when they are here but I'm tired and don't want to get dressed either. We are going to carters and trader joes and I think I'll grab lunch at Chipotle.
I am an idiot. I left my baby for five hours yesterday, didn't pump and ended up with a huge clog by evening.
I'm not sure how to deal with this going forward. if I am home, our nanny will bring DS to me to nurse, but if I have to go out for an appointment, he'll get a bottle. typically, I'll be spending my time out of the house on the subway and at the appointment itself. There's really no time to pump in there. I'm hoping my body will adjust, but since it won't be a daily thing, maybe not.

I can't get C to sleep flat. I think he refluxes because he gags but he is always grunting too. He's much more peaceful napping on me. I don't know how we are going to transition from the RNP

M sleeps in the RNP, and it is ok. But he still looks more comfortable on his tummy!

Our cleaning lady comes today too! Luckily she doesn't come until around 11, so I'm going to take M out to lunch and a quick grocery run. First solo outing!

Ugh. Time for more Lecithin supplements.
Do the supplements work? I am getting clogged ducts every other day it seems like. I never had this issue with j.
@awinter, I had mastitis twice with DD and repeated clogged ducts. I stopped getting them after taking Lecithin. I stopped taking them at some point later in my nursing relationship and when DD started dropping sessions, I got clogged ducts again. So, I'd say they work!
I started taking them this time, then got thrush and was more focused on taking a billion things to treat that, so havent taken the Lecithin in a while. Oops.

I have a bunch of randoms.
M had a massive melt down last night. First one in a couple weeks. H was working late so was just me. I realized H is much better at distracting him. I tried but wasn't working- so just let him sit on my lap crying. I figure everyone needs a good cry.
We switched to word 2013 and it makes me crazy. To open, edit and save something is like a gizzilion step process.
Found out a friend has to move back home (she is in her 30's) because she quit her job but was refusing to entertain looking for a job in retail or something while she looked for a full-time position. HELLO- I would love to work at Athelta, Lullulemon or Lucy's. What could be better then wearing workout wear to work!!!
I feel like a broken record, but DS's ears/incoming tooth/cough/cold/stuffy nose is killing me. He doesn't generally STTN, but finally getting to one wake up was fine. Now with him feeling so terrible, he's up every hour. Finally by 2:45am, I just stayed in the recliner with him.

My mom is getting Nods today, because I have a meeting at lunch. I'm volunteering with an organization and I get to do some of their social media. My mom is getting Nods early, so I'm going to visit Carter's before my meeting. I have a couple things to return and some Carter's cash to spend.

Send coffee.
Oh my goodness, that's rough, I'm sorry. Poor little guy! Vibes for him to get healthy soon!
We were supposed to go to our first ECFE class this morning, but DD puked all over herself after breakfast. She's puked twice more since them, so we are going to be laying low at home today. Ugh.

The bite on DD's arm is huge, the redness looks like it spread over night, so, we are headed to the pedi at 2:15. I didn't mark it after her bath last night, so I don't know for sure, but it's still big (larger than a quarter) so, I'm taking her. We almost made it from well check to well check w/o having to be seen for something else.. So close. Her 9mth check is next week.

My DS got up in the MOTN for a bottle which hasn't happened in a couple of weeks. Then he wouldn't go back to sleep so I brought him to bed. He thought PLAYTIME! and was flinging his head onto the pillows, giggling, giving me kisses, playing with my hair, knocking on the headboard. OMG. Finally after trying to calm him down for 20 minutes I threw him back in his crib. He cried for about 2 minutes and went to bed. My mistake, kiddo, stay in your own bed!

Old Navy PJs are the worst! I had some Super Cash to spend so I ordered some pjs online. The smell was toxic when I took them out of the package. After washing, the pants are so stiff. I'm sure they'll soften up, but so far, I do not recommend!

I have an interview in 20 minutes with my current regional manager. He said it's just an hr formality but I'm so nervous. I need to get out of my current place, yesterday was such a bad day. I need coffee but I also need to calm down so I'm sitting in my car on GBCN.

My kid pulled the awesomest tantrum move the other day. So he was on the floor screaming. DH told him that he was going to his room until he could calm him down. DS screamed NO! Then basically roll screamed and around the kitchen for like 3 minutes. It was hilarious and by the end DH and I were practically rolling on the floor ourselves with laugther. DS was not amused.

Poke root can also help. You can take it orally; my LC said 3-4 drops a day.
H's counter offer for his job came back-- they accepted ALL of it, including big hunks of vacation time! He stars at the end of next month. Helllooo 22% raise!
