28 weeks! And as of this morning, I've already packed on 25lbs. I have developed such a sweet tooth lately, which obviously needs to stop.
You're adorable! If it helps at all, I was up 25 lbs at 27 weeks (I keep a weekly weight in my phone) and now at 37 weeks (well, on Friday) I'm just up to 30. I didn't curb my sweet tooth at ALL between now and then, I just happened to pack on all my lbs between like 20-28 weeks.
I'm happy to hear this. I'm almost 23.5 weeks and had an appointment yesterday and I'm up 18lbs! My whole life I've had a hard time putting on weight, and I figured I'd have the same trouble while pregnant. Apparently not! My appetite has been ravenous lately, but in the back of my mind I think if I keep this up at this rate I'm going to put on too much. My doctor did say it usually plateaus at some point...we shall see. This gives me hope though.
And Rex, it's definitely good to hear that your still holding strong at 30lbs at 37 weeks. I started to get nervous this week when I realized I'm already up 25lbs, with 12 long weeks to go.
I gained the most between 20-26 weeks, I was averaging 2 lbs per week. This last weight check I had gained 2 lbs in 2 weeks and that was even after lunch so pretty sure I didn't gain that much. I think it's common to gain a lot in 2nd tri and then slow down. Or some women pack more on at the end. My eating habits haven't changed but I basically have no room so I eat smaller meals.

I'm up 14lbs at 28 weeks...I'm aiming for 25lbs total. 12 weeks left (or so they say) and I've got 11 lbs left. I'm hoping I can stick to it.
Also, at last thyroid check, I was getting too much thyroid drug, so they cut me back down to 88mcg...I think the over-dosage probably sped up metabolism which has kept the gain in check. Now I'm scared I'll pack it on.

Dammit will someone share their pounds with me?? Please? I have an appt friday and I have NOT gained what the Dr wanted yet. I've been out to eat the past two nights, going to grab take out tonight and out to eat tomorrow night. Hoping that it at least gives me water weight so I don't need supplements. I am at -3 lbs from my pre pregnancy weight of 186 (5'3"). Belly is measuring dead on though!
Since the three of us basically have the same due date, it's interesting to hear the comparisons miss.colorado and sju1982. I was originally aiming for 15 lbs based on some online calculators using my pre-pg height/weight, but that's come and gone, lol. So now I am hoping for <25 total. I will not make it unless things really do slow down substantially. I am already noticing decreased appetite/ability to eat large meals, so I could see it happening. We shall see!
But you both look great. I'm sure you'll end up where you need to be.

Don't worry! If baby is measuring on time then you are fine!! People tell me I'm too small for carrying twins (I've gained 27 lbs so they can shove it). But I always tell them the babies are perfect weight. You might gain more toward the end as he grows too.

I haven't gained any weight yet at 31 weeks, and actually last time I was at the Dr's office I had lost 1lb. Every ultrasound has been fine, and she's measuring great so they are not concerned
ETA: I've kept track of my food on MyFitnessPal to have an idea of how many calories I'm consuming because they have asked me a couple of times what I'm eating
I think everyone's body reacts differently to pregnancy weight gain and we should try not to stress to much about it. I really think our bodies are going to do what they are going to do, within reason of course.
I packed on more first tri than most (I think around 8-9 lbs), and I was worried I was going to end up gaining a lot by the end since so many people say they gain hardly anything, or even lose in the first tri and then gain a lot more second tri. It wasn't the case for me at all. At 29 weeks I've gained 14-15 lbs total. My Dr. was happy with this at my appt the other day, so I'm just going to continue doing what I'm doing and not worry about it .

I was having similar issues where I would gain a lb here and there then lost a few. My doctor told me that most likely I will gain the rest by the end and she was right. I gained the majority of my weight by the end of my 2nd tri/3rd tri. As long as the baby is measuring fine, then you should be okay .

I'm in this group too. At my 22w appt my doctor gave me a "warning" because I had gained 9 lbs in 6-7 wks. Since that appt I've only gained 3 lbs (in 5 wks, only 1 lb in the last 3 wks). I'm up about 21-22 lbs with my goal originally being 30 lbs. I'm thinking that it might be more like 30-35 lbs but we'll see.
You ladies are looking good! No need to worry...our babies are doing what they need to right now!

Ladies, don't feel bad, I went to my 12 week appointment and I gained TEN pounds, so yeah. Granted, I was on the slim/average side before(5'4, 123ish), but yeah still unacceptable lol.
It's funny how people gain weight so differently. My sister gained 60 and had lost 65 by 6 months pp.
I'm hoping less than 20 total because I'm heavy to start. We shall see. I was +1 at 14 weeks.
My bump is still not very obvious at 16 weeks. That's okay--I have a better wardrobe still this way. I'm pretty sure come winter I'm going to be wearing the same thing every day.

I need to track what I eat I think. I'm coming off whole30 and all I want is carbs right now and I don't want to over do it. I'm overweight to begin with. If you do MFP, how do you know how many calories you should have in a day, especially pregnant?
