It's an old-ish 24" tv with poor sound but overall still works well and is HD and flat screen.
We have a communal area on the first floor of my building where people leave extra cleaning items or food or lotion from B&BW or whatever, and it's open to the tenants to grab what they want. Personally I think it's a very sweet thing to do, and it was started by the people who live here. It wasn't started by the landlord. Sometimes there's nothing there, sometimes a bunch of things.
I'm thinking of setting it down there (remote, tv, and cord) with a note that says "free to a good home" and let someone have it.
I could either do that, or list it on craigslist. But I don't feel like that hassle is worth an extra 30 bucks.

Plop it down for free.
I'd just be careful to watch and make sure someone takes it. If no one does and your LL has to dispose of it, it could cause some hassle (with needing to be recycled and all that).
