I think I keep a pretty clean home ( sweep and clean the kitchen every day and spot clean around the house daily.) But when it comes to deep cleaning I noticed my home could use some work. This week I got on top of the counters and cleaned on top of the cupboards. We've lived here for two years and this was the first time they have been cleaned (gross I know.) This weekend I plan to pull out some appliances and clean behind them and do the baseboards. So how often do you deep clean your house? I.E pull out appliances and move big furniture to clean, wash or wipe down curtains/ blinds, wipe down walls and or baseboards? I may ask for a cleaning company to come and deep clean as a gift for Christmas lol.
I keep our rental fairly neat and orderly on a week-to-week basis. But I can guarantee that the owner has never deep cleaned it and I'm not about to do it for him.*
Since David has started kindergarten and I'm bored out of my mind? The cleanest it's ever been, lol. Pretty damn clean. Even my bedroom is clean and the BED IS MADE EVERY DAY. If I go back to work, we are definitely getting a cleaning person in here at least once a week, preferably twice a week.

My sister came over to watch my sick kid today and said "oh I figured since mom was here yesterday she would have cleaned for you." So not as clean as I thought for sure.
We maybe move appliances every year or so. We're pretty messy. We only do dishes 5-6 nights a week and things like vacuuming and mopping only happen every 3 weeks or so. The house isn't filthy, but it's not clean either.

It is clean enough not to stress me out. Messes stress me out so I am always tidying things up. I try to clean 80% of the house each week, but in really I probably manage to to get 60% clean, our living room is almost always clean. I try to deep clean about every 2-3 months.

I keep a pretty clean house. Clutter makes me anxious and I'm weird about smells. Having a husband and two sons is hindering how tidy I really would like things.
Eh... Not very clean. Doesn't look too bad, but we can't seem to control the dog hair. Haven't really done a deep cleaning since my husband bought the house two years ago.
No kids. Only two of us. The two dogs are limited to the first floor only. Hardwood is easier to clean!
I don't know how people manage to clean so much. I think once kids are in the picture we would need a cleaner (I don't think I can convince my husband though). Also, my fatigue is insanely frustrating.
Pretty clean. Just dusted, swept, vacuumed today. It's clutters right now because the kids are playing. Once they go to bed and it's picked up it'll be much better.

Lol. Let's just say that my ILs are watching N tonight and asked if we wanted them to come here or drop him off...H said "Let's take him there so we don't have to clean!" and sadly that's exactly what I was thinking.
I want a housekeeper the next time one of us gets a raise.
Wait. You're supposed to pull out the appliances? Some people do this every six months?
Lol. Last time my mil was here she started cleaning our hood fan, like took it apart and everything. She asked when was the last time I did that was. I just stared at her. I had no idea that was something people did.
I guess it's not *awful*, but I would want at least 30 minutes notice if someone was stopping by. And then they'd better not leave the first floor.
I don't know. My mom was/is a really shitty housekeeper. I'm definitely better than her. But a cleaning service would be a gift from the heavens. It doesn't come naturally to me.
We are a bit cleaner than normal because the house is listed for sale. But normally deep cleaning gets done about twice a year. About every 5-6 wks I take a 'me' day off work and do a full house cleaning all in a few hrs so it feels amazing for a few hours. On a daily/work week basis I am happy when the sink is empty, crumbs are off kitchen floor, no obvious cat hair on carpets or furniture, and you see more carpet than toys; and I do the rest on an as-need ad hoc basis.

My cleaning lady was here this morning so it's really really clean. The best part is, she did all the cleaning while L was in the gym daycare and I was "working out" (aka walking on the treadmill while watching Downton Abbey). I love Wednesdays!
