Nice! I wish there was stuff like this in my area.
Are you sure they don't? This is a traveling consignment thing called Just Between Friends. It was held at the local Youth Club. I would have never known about something like this, but I got a postcard in the mail. It was realllly fun. You should try to find one.
I'm totally hooked now! I told my mom that we're going back every year.
I try to go to both fall and spring sales. Sometimes there's really good stuff and sometimes not. I love going and looking around for a good bargain. It's so addicting! I hate paying full price for anything, let alone kid clothes.
Make sure you "like" your franchise's Facebook page and they'll keep you posted on when the next sales are. If you sign up on their website too, you might get coupons to get in a few days early for free. We have a huge sale here that charges admission (which I don't agree with since the franchise gets a cut of every sale) and I'll go in with the free admission coupon a few days earlier than "public days".

Thanks, I will definitely do that! This one had a $3 admission fee, but I got in to the presale tonight for free for being a teacher. Although, they didn't make me prove it or anything so I feel like anyone could get in to the presale! I didn't realize it was more than once per year. Then, I guess I'll be back in the Spring for warm weather stuff. I wish I knew about this kind of thing sooner. It was awesome!

I love JBF sales. I'm lucky that there are 2 additional similar franchises in my area, so there are multiple sales 2x/year between the 3 franchises. I don't know if I should tell you this... but they usually have a 1/2 price day on the last day too!

Lol, no you SHOULD tell me these things!! I wonder if there is a lot of good stuff left by the last day? It seems like an incredible amount of work to put it all together too. Such a cool thing.

There's usually some good stuff left. I went this year on half price day and got several things for cheap! I only go to half price day if I can't go on three dollar day.
Eta... And it's half price on things that don't have a star. Some people won't sell for half price. Like last sale I got a Fisher Price Loving Family dollhouse with a lot of furniture for 40. No way that would go half price.

There have been a few times where I have gone twice to one sale.... once on a full price day and once on a half price day.
The selection varies....sometimes there is quite a bit left for the 1/2 price day, and sometimes not so much. I went to one a few weeks ago on the 1/2 price day and got 8-10 things for $12. It does seem that there is more girl stuff than boy stuff, so you might have better luck shopping for a girl. Not everything is 1/2 price - the seller indicates on the tag whether or not they want it to go to 1/2 price.
Wow! I see some great stuff in there. So much stuff. Did you go in with a plan or just see and grab? I feel like I would be overwhelmed.
Welll, since you asked... I had a list of things I wanted specifically, so my plan was to try for those items first and then dig through the racks of clothes. I went in wanting:
-M&D 12 and 24 piece jigsaw puzzles (went to first and found a bunch) -Livie & Luca shoes (none to be found) -Snow Boots in size 7 (found a bunch, got a pair that were NWT for $15, retails for $55) -Snow Bib (found) -Tea anything (only Tea find was the dress that I got) -Hanna anything (found a bunch, but nothing that I wanted/liked) -School shirts/clothes

They are kind of overwhelming. Most of the ones here are in gyms or ice arenas and they are generally FULL. They do tend to be very well marked and well organized though, so you shouldn't have trouble finding the areas for the things you're looking for. I go without my child because it does take some time to look through everything.
