It is beautiful, and it is so incredible that all remnants of the first tattoo there are gone. I kept looking at your photos to see but your artist did a great job for you! And hats off to you for enduring all that pain! Glad you have one you love now.
That came out so great. You'd never know the other one was there.
Tattooing questions:
1. Can you break up something like that into, say, two 2-hour sessions? Or does that mess things up?
2. Would a tattoo on your rib cage on the side (like under your arm, but not as high up as your arm pit), be the worst thing ever ever?
1. I wouldn't break it up.
It takes a long time to get the appt so once it gets here, you just want it to be over with. And what if something happens and you have to put off the second appt? I know of someone who got an outline and has never had the time/money to get it filled in. What's worse is that it was a cover up so she has a huge outline with a stupid jalapeƱo in the middle of it.
Also, double the sessions = double the healing process. You don't want that.
2. My ribcage tattoos didn't hurt that bad. IMO if you want to know what a tattoo feels like go get a clicky pen with a metal tip. Unclick it so you aren't drawing on yourself and drag it across your skin using a decent amount of pressure.
That turned out beautifully! Good job on getting through it, girl. I have one on my back that I hate but there's nothing else I want, so I'll have to go for laser one day.

good luck. I hear it's awful. Maybe wait a few years and they might make some awesome technology so it won't hurt!
