Congrats blushing!! I am going to try the hypnobirthing route myself so I would love to hear about your experience when you are up to it!!
I did self taught hypnobirthing. My DH did not support that it would work so I downloaded the Mindifi app and listened to that from around 32 weeks. I also downloaded some hypnobirthing birthing music and listened to that almost nightly while relaxing. I used my yoga breathing (in through your nose. Out through your mouth), and kept my tongue behind my top teeth as this helps to keep your jaw lose. Lose jaw helps keep your uterus lose, which helps with managing contractions. My DH was also brilliant, anytime a contraction was starting he would rub my lower back ( my contractions were all in my back). He also had a list of things to remind me: Listen to the music, relax your fists, tongue behind teeth means loose jaw, etc. That helped me to focus my energies while relaxing as best I could. Also I never lay on my back once. I walked, I leaned against the bed, and I sat on the edge of the bed. When it was time to push I lay on left side. It was all just brilliant and so much better than when I had DS1.
Thanks Ladies! I am rather tired, I had forgotten how exhausting the newborn phase is. Cade wakes up every 2 hours for a feed, but the good news is at 5 days old he is almost back up to his birth weight so I must be doing something right.
