The best I will be able to get in this fall will be some runs first thing in the morning before DH leaves to take DD to school and some mommy & me yoga classes during which I will likely nurse DS the majority of the class.
I can't remember how old babies have to be to use the childcare at the Y, but I am pretty sure it's at least 6 months. Once DS is old enough for that, we can go while DD is in school.

We have a treadmill in our garage so I try (TRY) to get out there between 6-7pm. Ideally, I would drag my ass downstairs at 4:30 a.m. and work out while DD is still asleep so I don't have to miss any time with her after work but I've been struggling to get motivated to do that.
In the summer, right after breakfast. In the school year, it's right after school (y daycare) or after he goes to bed if my h is home. Occasionally a walk after dinner if O is tired that day.

Either before the kids get up or after work before I pick them up. I prefer to do it in the morning but it's tough getting out of bed now that it's getting cooler
I'm a SAHM and I go right to the gym after preschool drop off on m-w-f. Tuesday there's a class at 4:30 that I like so that is designated the "work late or grab a beer at happy hour" night for DH since we get home around 6-6:30. All around, it's working great. I get 2 hours to myself and a shower and DH gets a night to do whatever he wants/needs without any repercussions at home.

A big part of my problem is my preferred exercise is group classes. Ugh. Exercising is hard enough when you like what you're doing, much less when you don't.
I think it's time to get some dvds. Any suggestions?

At 5:30am....I usually do 5 days a week...a 30 min Jillian Michaels DVD. It's really my only option. However, I didn't start working out again until my second kid was almost 2 years old. Good luck!

I really like T25 & PiYo. (Full disclosure, I'm a beachbody coach and sell them) I lost 20lbs doing T25. I just started PiYo and it's helping my core a lot.
I walk the kids to & from school...it's a mile away so I get 4miles a day in. Eventually I'd like to get to running when I don't have the kids &/or doing a circle or 2 through the park I pass (which is 1.5miles around) so I'll get up to 7miles a day.

zuzka light DVDs. She also has a ton of workouts on you tube and on her site. Short but intense.
I workout after they go to bed. When we go upstairs to get their PJs on, I put my exercise clothes on at the same time. Once they are asleep I go to the basement to workout (we set up a home gym with a treadmill/weights). I actually don't mind working out at night, I watch tv while I do and then shower before I go to bed so I don't have to in the morning.
I just started going and DS is 2. I work out on Sat mornings and take him to the daycare with me. During the week, if DH is home before 7, then I try and go around 7:30-8:30 or 9. DH works crazy long hours so it's not often that I can go in the evenings. Hopefully more in the winter.
Right now on maternity leave, at home during the day. I can also take DD2 with me to Pilates because I'm doing private sessions.
When I go back to work, it'll most likely be after the kids' bedtimes, with the exception of a weekly Pilates group class right after work. Barre classes right after work might also be an option.
