So yesterday's experiment of moving DD's bedtime up to 8 PM was a bust. Sure she slept from 8-12, but I was awake then so who cares. I only slept maybe 1 hr between 12-4am and DH took 4-6am.
It is now 11:43 and she is just asleep. Hopeful we can both get a great long stretch.
I will wait until next week and see how daycare adjusts her schedule and bedtime.
The pedi wants DS to eat more "real food" but I'm struggling to figure out how to introduce anything other than fruits & veggies to DS. He's not crazy about BLW (I think its a texture thing) so we do about 5oz of purees with a tsp of butter a day. The only meat I've gotten him to eat is chicken tikka and brisket (neither have sauces).
Combined with the desire to night wean I'm not feeling great about the whole feeding DS thing.
We'll my 17 month old won't eat meat either and I don't stress just offer. She recently started eating eggs but it's mostly still, fruit, veggies, breads, and yogurt. Some kids just take longer with food.

My DD is 4 weeks and nursing is going well so we just introduced the bottle of pumped milk tonight. It did not go well. But the effort exhausted her sufficiently that she fell asleep and stayed that way the first time into the crib. Usually it takes three tries.
Confession: I feel a little happy that she prefers me to the bottle.
I'm very emotional about the whole thing because with my DS I ended up having to exclusively pump and I'm terrified that once she gets the bottle she won't go back to nursing. But I know that for practical purposes we need to get her to take a bottle. I SAH but I'll need to be away from her in bits and pieces.
I'm exhausted with my life. That's all I got. DD getting up at 7 am doesn't help, however she did nap very well today. Crossing my fingers for a repeat tomorrow.
We had a concert tonight and just got home. It was a blast, but with a baby that wakes up several times a night and having to be at work at 8am, it's going to be a long day tomorrow!
Up with DS...he's sleeping but restless so I'm sitting here GBCN-ing. Hopefully he will feel better tomorrow. It's our last full day of vacation at the outer banks. It's beautiful here!
Good luck namasteak! I'm sure he'll be fine. :-) Greek yogurt was always a hit with DD too and that gets some protein in them. She also loved/loves blueberries and bananas, both of which are easy to chew and pick up with baby fingers.
Have you tried freeze dried fruits/veggies/yogurt drops? That's a different texture and they kind of melt in your mouth, but the vitamins are still there. DD likes those too.
I don't know why I haven't! Do you have a brand you recommend?
I actually haven't bought them because friends of ours work for the company that manufactures them for re-sellers, so they're often floating around for free. I think Gerber makes them though.
