It looks like a high end table, so I'd also base my asking price on the purchase price. I'd list it at about 50% of what I paid for it...which may be a lot more. It just may not sell as quickly.
Generally, though, I sell stuff on Craigslist to get it out of my house, not to make money. In reality, I generally underprice things, just to get rid of them. (Try to think of it as a donation that someone removes for me!)
ETA: It also really depends on the area. When we lived in bigger cities, Craigslist was full of great deals and cheap stuff. Where I live now, things are WAY overpriced! "King size furniture set. Bought in 1987 for $6000. Great condition! $5250, firm!" I looked at coffee tables and nasty, super outdated ones are $100-125.
So far we've made $825 selling about a dozen different items. If you add in the high-end speakers DH sold, that number jumps up to $1585.
When H and I moved in together, we made a lot of money selling stuff on CL. I was shocked, especially since ours was first apartment/college grade stuff. I love CL! I think we made close to $1000!
I see your answer now, but in my area that probably would have been listed for $100-150 by many sellers, which I think is reasonable.*
Some CL sellers are just crazy, though. We have a (sort-of) local IKEA, and someone had a used IKEA dresser (labeled as such) listed for more than IKEA's normal price.
For furniture a few years old and in good condition, I usually expect to pay around 1/3-1/2 of retail. If I'm paying much closer to retail I'd rather just buy new and get my pick of colors/features and not have to deal with all the phone calls/emails.
*ETA - I'm not trying to say that $175 was unreasonable. I haven't seen your table in person and don't know what it originally cost; that was just my initial impression.
If I didn't need it gone right away, I would have priced that table for $175-200 initially expecting to actually sell between $100-150.
I price CL items high to anticipate negotiation unless it's something that I just want out of my house ASAP. I sold a car on CL for almost twice its KBB value and I sold 2-year old Bar Review books for almost what I paid for them.
I've bought furniture on CL quite a few times, and sold stuff as well. My #1 pet peeve is when people say in the listing "I paid $XX for this new" or "Retail price was $XX" or the like. To buyers, it doesn't matter what you paid for it. What matters is how badly you want to get rid of it and how much it's worth to other people.
We have been trying to eBay stuff and got REALLLLLLLLLLLLY burned trying to sell a laptop. The listing said NO INTERNATIONAL BUYERS and someone from the USVI won, but then NEVER PAID for it.

I have had great Craigslist success, both with buying and selling. Before we moved here we gathered everything together we were getting rid of and posted the big items on CL, with the plan to have a garage sale with anything left. We made $1800 off CL and $300 on the garage sale, and pretty much everything was gone!
I'm a big negotiator too. I once got almost new barstools for $20 (for both) when the listing asked $100.

I was going to say $150. That is a nice coffee table and trendy so I thought it would go for a lot. I think it depends not just on what the item costs retail but how many of the same item are for sale at the same time.
Also, my new trick when buying on CL is to look in the small towns a bit further out because the prices are normally lower.
