it is not much money but it was $85 down the drain since I am not going. Myhusband is feeling a little better not not enOugh to go out.

Picked up our race packets with no wait today. Running with 3 kids tomorrow (Well, the 4 yr old will be walking with a friend who is going. The 7 yr old and 9 yr old plan to run with me.) They are all super excited to have bibs!

Relaxing now after a busy, exhausting day and week. It's cool and very rainy here. Enjoying a bowl of chili, pumpkin candles lit, cup of coffee with peppermint mocha skinny syrup and watching tv. H is gone alllllll weekend! It's a nice night!
Today is the best. I get out early, come home to a quiet house, not even the dog here to bother me. Watch Mindy Project with a cup of coffee curled up on the couch. Bake muffins. H gets home and we have a quickie, and now he is out picking up dinner and my kid is being delivered to me.
Ahhhhhh.
What are you doing tonight?
It was that Diamond Dan scene, wasn't it?!
Just chillin here. Worked on my sisters bridal shower plans a bit. Getting so excited! I love party planning! Yes, I know that's selfish.

I was supposed to do Warrior Dash tomorrow, but after being very ill and in the hospital and having surgery, obviously I can't. I'm so bummed seeing all my friends who are going post how excited they are on FB. Also, DH and SIL both pulled out because of me. This is way more whiny than necessary, but I'm just so over feeling like shit and knowing that when the time comes to go back to the gym it'll be starting from zero. I was doing real pushups for the first time in my life at the beginning of the summer and now I think a regular Zumba class would kill me. Sucks.

I recently saw one of my teenage cousins after she came home from an interview and I was shocked to see what she wore. I mean, it was at a movie theater, but still... Jeans & thong sandals are not interview attire, IMO.

I'm cuddling with my dd. she has a temp that I can keep at just under 102 alternating Tylenol and Motrin. The fever and her feeling blah are the only issues. But we are watching movies and cuddling.

I discovered a long white hair on my chin today.
We are not entirely unfamiliar with each other; it has cropped up before. But it's a stealthy motherfucker. I'm always on alert and I'm never able to intercept it before it's like an inch long.

There was a dance tonight and almost the whole varsity team left an hour early. Half of those have me bullshit lies as excuses. Except one girl didn't come altogether. I'm kicking her off the team-- she's already used her three misses in the THREE WEEKS SINCE SCHOOL STARTED. Awesome.
JV, on the other hand, wouldn't LEAVE. I love those girls, they're so dedicated and talented.
Varsity is getting a stern talking-to at practice Sunday. I'm so annoyed with them.
I wish I could fast-forward to competition and show them how they're gonna do if they keep it up.
David spent the afternoon at his best friend's house (he lives on OUR STREET!!!! And we like, drop off for playdates now. It's blowing my mind.) Anyway, we picked him up then went out to dinner then walked over to Whole Foods and bought an overpriced bottle of wine. Me and H are now drinking said bottle of wine. I will be sleeping in very late tomorrow. No soccer game until 2!!!!!!
I found the best way to get my kids to behave and go to bed when asked. I picked them up from daycare after work, stopped by jack n the box for chicken nuggets and then took them to the park.
It's gloriously quiet in my house right now. Why haven't I thought of this before?
Plus I got funny pictures like this. My little guy always wants to do what his big sis is doing but it doesn't always work out for him.
well. this is just so....interesting! what kind of job was she applying for?
It's a manufacturing job, so we're used to more casual interview attire (they're usually in something like khakis and a blouse) but this was...different. Plus, she had thong sandals on which meant she couldn't go on the production floor so we had to scramble to find an interview space (the conference room they prefer requires walking through the production area to get to it, they like that one for mini-tour purposes.) The receptionist even came in and mentioned her attire to us as being inappropriate.
I think I might have been inclined to go out to her and say, "unfortunately, your attire shows that you are not a candidate we would pursue. Thanks for your time." I don't know if I would actually do it, but for something like that? I'd be close. I actually mentioned something to a guy I was interviewing today because he was wearing jeans. Seems like small potatoes compared to that outfit.

*Dances a jig* I got my benefits packet in the mail today. Finally...FINALLY! Once I have it filled out and mailed off, starting in November, I get to start using them. The relief I feel is so strong. It feels good to earn those benefits.

Just show them bring it on, especially the scenes with red. It's probably on their level.

When I first saw her I thought she was an SO meeting someone for lunch and just waiting in the lobby. I now realize she kept glaring at me coming out of the door marked HR because she thought I was ignoring her rather than working.

Sorry. I need to get over myself.
Oh that sucks. H and I were going to do Tough mudder with all our friends but couldn't because of a wedding. Seeing all their pictures on FB was brutal! And it was H who had organized it all last year. Hope you're feeling better soon!
