Yay! I had heard of lightning crotch, but thought it was later in pregnancy. I have now exceeded an acceptable number of paranoid questions for the week. I'll have to go at least a few weeks before asking another!

krystee Haha, keep asking because I'm always afraid to! I get this too sometimes and wondered about it. I figured since it didn't seem to be the uterus and there was no bleeding or anything I was probably ok, lol. I feel like someone posted something about this on FB recently but I can't remember!
ETA: Nevermind, she posted about SPD, which is more about the actual pelvis. Not the same thing. I didn't read the article she had posted
krystee ask as many paranoid questions as you'd like. No one here minds and it almost always helps someone else. I can't tell you how many times I didn't post something, and then someone else posted the same question within a few days.
Normal! I googled it when it happened to me around that time. Add that to the list of things I never thought I would type into a search engine...
Pregnancy is weird!
I googled it before posting and found: 1. Totally normal 2. Sign of incompetent cervix 3. I felt this before I miscarried.
I decided this board could be the deciding vote.
It's going to be one of those cases of 'horses not zebras' where the most likely answer is the most common possibility. Like, I have a cough could be a cold, pneumonia, or lung cancer. It's probably a cold because that is the horse-the most common.
In this case there are widely reported cases of this phenomenon, and the majority of pregnancies are perfectly normal. It's hard to not stress all the things though, isn't it?
