We have had Verizon for 10 years and been happy with them until we got our current phones. With increasing frequency, we have been having issues with calls dropping, to the point that I now have multiple calls drop on a daily basis. We found it is a known problem with our phones. Long story short, Verizon's customer service, which I used to love, has me ready to burn shit down over this whole situation, after over 5 months and multiple calls. We still have over 9 months left on our contact and I cannot last with this phone that long.
I want to take jump ship to T-Mobile, especially since they will cover early termination fees. DH (Mr. Hates-All-Change) does not want to switch. The coverage maps look as good or better than Verizon for our home and offices. Can anyone who has switched add some insight?
We used to have T-Mobile and loved them. We jumped ship when there was that planned buyout by AT&T a few years ago. We only had minor issues with them every now and then, but we had a couple at the time that buyout was going on and their customer service that had been amazing was super crappy. I don't know if they were bitter about that possible deal or what. The one issue we had with them was coverage, but they realized it was an issue and gave us one of those WiFi/hot spot at home things for no charge so that we'd have good coverage at home.
We switched to Sprint because they actually had (have?) real unlimited everything, and have been happy with them. T-Mobile would be my first choice if we need to switch again for some reason.

I have absolutely regretted my switch from Verizon to Tmobile. I live outside of Baltimore in a suburban area and often have poor or no service. Forget about traveling to more remote areas - we were in the Outerbanks this summer and everyone had service but me.

Our service has been noticeably worse since switching from AT&T to T mobile (large urban area in SoCal). Also, we switched to save money but then DH smashed his phone a month into it and now since we have to pay full price for a new phone (would have been free with new contract with AT&T), we've pretty much negated the majority of savings between the two.

Hmm...we're thinking of switching. I'll PM you to see if we're in the same area.
Trying for #3; FET 8/18 -- BFN. Leaving things up to chance for now... After three years, three IVFs, and two FETs, we finally have our miracle babIES!
I was just given a work phone through T mobile and got rid of my personal phone through Verizon. I haven't noticed too much of a difference. There have been a couple times I haven't had a signal but nothing major. I just traveled to NYC without any problems.
I use T Mobile and am very happy. My problem was that my house is in a dead spot and had terrible to no reception. I ended up with a Samsung galaxy phone and now make and receive all calls and texts through our wifi. My DH had a new iPhone with AT&T and used my phone in the house. It's been a while since I made the switch, and I know I switched for this particular circumstance, but I have been very happy with the customer service in general.
We have had them for several years. I have been happy, and I know we've saved $$$. Coverage is good in my suburban/metro area although Verizon's is a little better. I think TMO has improved their coverage a lot since the AT&T buyout failure. My H went on an extended business trip to a remote area and Verizon was the only carrier that had coverage there so he actually got a pay as you go phone for that travel. But that's the only time we truly had an issue.

We switched to t mobile from Cingular years ago and HATED it. As soon as that contract was up, we switched to vzw and never looked back. I don't LOVE vzw but they are the best we've had yet.
I have them. No problems with reception (I had them maybe 7 or 8 years ago before and reception was noticeably worse back then). The international plan is awesome. We can use our phones and unlimited data overseas without any charges or to do.

We went from Verizon to T-Mobile a couple years ago. We hated our coverage with T-Mobile so bad that we ate the cancelation charges we had and went back to Verizon. Verizon is definitely more expensive and we did save some money while we were on T-Mobile, but it was not worth the frustration of no service or dropped calls to me. We do go to rural areas quite a bit and we travel a lot. If we stayed in our work/home area all the time, it wouldn't have been as bad of a situation. That really just was not possible for our lifestyle.
We made the switch; our bill is about half what it used to be. We bought our phone outright; if you buy an iPhone or galaxy, it takes 2 years to break even; nexus 5 or moto X, about 14 months; and moto G, like 7 months
The coverage is great in the city and suburbs, but I have real trouble in rural areas.

all of this. I haven't had issues with coverage yet, but I live in the city/suburbs. I also love the fact that I've lived in China, traveled all over the Caribbean and Europe with my phone, and was able to add a line for $10 one month only and let my parents use an extra phone we had while we were all in Europe. I'm a huge fan. Our bill used to be about $170 (included data/calling in Canada, because my work required it) on VZW and now our bill is $80/month, so substantial savings.
I had AT&T and switched to T-mobile and haven't looked back. In my neighborhood AT&T sucks for coverage (like if I couldn't get on the wi-fi I had to stand at the end of my driveway to get a signal). Now I can make a call inside, even if I am not on the wi-fi.
It isn't great when we go to the UP since their rural coverage isn't the greatest but that only happens once a year.
