Hi ladies! I haven't been around this board much since getting pregnant but I still think of you often. I miss my fun runs lol. I haven't done a run since Chicago's Shamrock Shuffle, which was during my IVF.
Anyway...because I love her to death and I'm so proud of her, I figured I would make a thread for G22 and her AF marathon stalking.
She hit the 10k mark about an hour ago if I did my math right (darn time zone conversions lol). Keep on rocking it G!!!!
Good to see you here rachelgreen! I'm following along too. I couldn't find any tracking links on the website, but then I remembered she posted the info on Facebook. I see she passed the 1/2 point in 2:02 -- she's doing AWESOME! Go girl!!
Yay! She's doing great! Did anyone see on FB that she raced & PRd a 5k last night?! No way in hell I would have done that, but luckily she's running strong!! I hope she kicked that cold. She was also stung by a bee! One tough cookie, that one.
I did see her 5K time! It was super speedy. I wouldn't be brave enough to actually race a 5K right before a marathon. I'd probably be jogging or maybe do marathon pace. But, she is absolutely doing awesome! Hope things stay good for her and she can finish strong. Even if she slows some she should be on track for a nice marathon PR!
Thanks guys! the way this last week has gone I wasn't sure what to expect today! lol But I managed to PR the 5k and the marathon today! So it was worth it in the end. I'll write a recap later!

Omg I couldn't believe I got stung! Walking into the store 3 hours before the 5k last night. I've never had such a reaction, my hand swelled up huge! But its mostly gone today. Only I can tell its still a tad swollen.
And my cold is still hanging around barely but it didn't bug me while running today. I carried tissues in my spibelt ad only needed to pull them out once around mile 21. So I call that a win.
Also, so much for taking the 5k easy. I got competitive with myself. Ha
