Mesh feeders. How the fuck do I clean them?

Ok, so I probably shouldn't have put banana in my two Munchkin mesh feeders but what now? I have scrubbed, ran them through the dishwasher, and they are still dirty. Bits of black banana stuck in the rim part.

Is there a better mesh feeder where I can actually remove the mesh part? This is ridiculous.

What food do you put in them?

I am actually personally grossed out by banana, and even though B likes it it makes her super constipated so I have just removed banana and mesh feeders from our lives.

I found turning them inside out and using a toothbrush was the easiest way to clean them.

I have this mesh feeder and the mesh is separate! I never tried banana, so not sure on the clean up. I usually put frozen fruits, like peaches or strawberries, when DS was teething.

I never could figure out what the point was supposed to be exactly. I mean if I hand my kids a banana they'll mash it up and shove it in no problem.

I used a mesh feeder that separated but yeah, no banana, that just won't work. We did frozen chunks of mango or honeydew when she was teething.

We have one and never use it.

We tried frozen banana in ours while teething. Never again. It exclusively holds ice cubes now.

I've been happy with watermelon and mandarin oranges.

I also wash immediately. I've never had a problem cleaning them.* Shrugs*

I haven't really had this problem either. I put frozen banana in it all the time and as long as I wash it right away it's no biggie. I turn it inside out and scrub it with the rough side of a dish sponge.

Switch to the kidsme, it's much easier to clean and for kids to eat from.

We only ever put ice cubes in them. I was scared to use anything else.
